Various panchayats of district Baramulla from social Forestry Division Baramulla received about 2.00 core rupees as 75% share from Village Woodlots harvested recently on maturity for Plantation and Minor Developmental works in these panchayats

Today on 14.08.2023,Regional Director Department of social Forestry Kashmir Region Shri Maraj u din Malik toured Social Forestry Division Baramulla.The Following activities were undertaken during the tour.
1. The progress of ongoing removal of Poplar trees along national highway Narbal to Baramulla was reviewed by RD Kashmir to address the long pending grievance of the public of Baramulla district for removal of these poplar trees.
2. An Event under the banner Meri Maati Mera Desh to commemorate the 75 years of our independence was also attended by RD Kashmir as Chief Guest in 518 Army service Corps Battalion.During the event Panch Pran Pledge was taken and 75 saplings of indigenous trees were planted to create an Amrit Vatika under Vasudha Vandhan. A Tiranga rally was also carried out in the honour of Freedom Fighters and Matayrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our nation.
3. Various development works were also inspected during the tour which include a shelter Belt in Hardamadam Tangmarg created under GIM 2021-22 implemented in 2022-23, Strip Plantation Magam to Tangmarg etc.
