Livsyt is organizing a pan-India logo design challenge in the search for the next big design star. With two rounds of competition, you'll have the chance to showcase your design skills and show the world what you're made of. IIT Kharagpur's Prof. Joy Sen, of the Center of Excellence for Indian Knowledge Systems, has been chosen to serve on the advisory committee for all research and art installations in the New Parliament Building Complex, New Delhi, which has been constituted by Shri G. Kishan Reddy, the government of India's honourable minister of culture. In addition, Prof. Sen has been asked by Shri Govind Mohanji, Secretary of the Ministry, to direct the installation operations in accordance with the matrix of Indian Knowledge Systems domains developed by the Centre of Excellence for Indian Knowledge Systems at IIT Kharagpur.

Based on the requirements of the IKS Center of IIT Kharagpur, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has chosen to award two distinguished projects for the interior design of the New Parliament Building Complex. Additionally, on July 7–9, 2022, in Varanasi, he was invited to preside over a Varanasi Shiksha Sammelan session held by the Prime Minister's Office and UGC.

Prof. Sen has extensive experience dealing with various environmental design programmes and specialises in community and regional planning analysis and programming and architecture planning connected to historical studies and documentation.
Currently, he is the principal investigator for comprehensive consultancy and detailed engineering services for the development of (a) the R & R Colony for the Mahanadi Coalfields, Ministry of Coal, GoI; (b) the DVC R & R Services at TUBED Village, Latehar District, Jharkhand, Damodar Valley Corporation; (c) the design for the St. Xavier's University Campus, New Town and (d) Town Hall Museum and Resource Centre for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

We are delighted to announce that a group of final year students from our department have ranked 2nd-A as the winners of the INSDAG Architecture Award Competition 2021.

The team comprised Aadhisrivathsan R, Abdul Vasih T, Navin Kumar P and Yashwanth Kumar M. They have won the National Student Award competition for the Best Innovative Use of Steel in Architecture. The theme of this year was Architectural Designing of an International Level School at Gurgaon. Here are the drawings that they have come up with!

Hello everyone!

Human civilization is at the cusp of its next greatest revolution. We have been forced to rethink and relook several aspects of our day-to-day lives that we may have earlier taken for granted. Change is accelerating, and what may be relevant today shall fast become obsolete in the future. We as a society are constantly on the move, adapting and improving ourselves.

In the face of this constant evolution, we present Sthapati 2021 with the theme ‘Embracing Evolution.’ Replete with articles and interviews from those at the forefront of the field to reimagine architecture and allied professions for the better in the face of challenges.

This publication from the Department of Architecture and Regional Planning, IIT Kharagpur, has been created to keep the student community up to date with the ocean of change happening in Design. Good Morning everyone! The Centre of Excellence for Indian knowledge Systems, IIT Kharagpur are conducting two Expert Talks, online, by:

1. Prof. Michael Karassowitsch: An AIA Canadian and Austrian Architect, Architect NY & India (COA). He has done his Dipl. Tech, B. Arch, MSc. Arch, Dr. TechSc. Architecture.

Professor VSPARC VIT Vellore (recognized as Institution of Eminence (IoE) by Government of India)

The talk is about the Unique features of Indian Architectural Knowledge Systems (IAKS), which will commence at 2.30 PM.

2. Prof. Ganti Prasada Rao: He has done his BE(Hons), MTech, PhD, FIE, FIETE, FNAE, FIEEE. He is also won the Distinguished Alumni award in 2019.

He will be talking to us about the Unique features of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at 5.00 PM
