Mayapur (Mayāpura), previously known as Miyapur, is a neighbourhood of Bamanpukur, District- Nadia, State- West Bengal, India, situated adjacent to Nabadwip, at the confluence of two rivers, where the waters of the Jalangi River mix with Bhagirathi, a distributary of the Ganges. It is located about 130 km north of Kolkata. Along with Nabadwip, it is considered a spiritual place by the adherents of Gaudiya Vaishnavism.

The word Mayapur derives from Miyapur, previously believed as Muslim inhabited village, specially for the settlement of Muslim fishermen. The name Miyapur was mentioned in various government documents, including maps and surveys. In the 20th century, the Gaudiya Vaishnava reformer Bhaktivinoda Thakur proclaimed this place as Mayapur.

It is said to be the birthplace of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The headquarters of ISKCON is situated in Mayapur. It is said that the Supreme personality of godhead Krishna appeared along with his brother Balarama, as Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu. These two brothers appeared just for the fallen conditioned souls of this Kali Yuga to bestow on them the greatest blessings of Harinama Sankirtan based on the teachings of Bhagvad Gita and Shrimad Bhagavatam. Along with their associates, the Pancha Tattva, they distributed the divine Love of Godhead to anyone and everyone without seeing any qualifications or disqualifications. Mayapur is where the Material and Spiritual Worlds meet. Just as there is no difference between Lord Chaitanya and Lord Krishna, similarly there is no difference between Shridham Mayapur and Vrindavan.

Lovely news amongst many odds::

For two hours every morning and evening, both the platforms 1 and 2 of the railway station turn into a for young people who are aspirants for the : The Indian Administrative Service, the state civil service, multiple bank examinations, even entry to the IITs and IIMs. It all began in 2002-03 when a small group of students started coming to Sasaram railway station to study. Now the Sasaram railway station study groups have become an institution.

Senior students — both those who have been successful and those who have not — come to the station to coach younger boys in what has become a ritual over the years.

The reason is : Sasaram station has electricity 24X7. And the power never goes. Mostly, the boys are from Rohtas, the district in Bihar that is hit by Left wing insurgency. In many villages, either there is no power or the electricity is only intermittent. These boys see a government job as the end of their struggles and take advantage of the well lit station to sit under the lamp-post to study. The station has acknowledged its role in shaping careers and has actually issued 500 identity cards to the boys to enable them to come and go freely, using the platform as temporary open classrooms. Some boys don’t go home at all, opting to sleep there at night. They use the platform to take lessons and tips from seniors: Not just for the written examinations but also for interviews.

The coaching involves sets of questions on a variety of subjects: Current affairs, mathematics, reasoning and language.

POST-COVID HAIRFALL

Stress, due to COVID-19 cause a condition called Telogen effluvium where upto 30-40% of hair is shed. It usually starts 2-3 months after COVID-19 infection and can continue upto 6 months.

● Avoid heat treatment, coloring and other harmful hair care practices

The video is about Dandi March initiated by Mahatma Gandhi ji against the British Salt Monopoly, which was a non violent protest. It was also a direct action campaign of tax resistance which starts from 12 March 1930 and end in 5 April 1930. The duration of the march is of 24 days.

Another reason for this march was that the Civil Disobedience Movement needed a strong inauguration that would inspire more people to follow Gandhi ji's example.

Gandhi ji started this march with 78 of his trusted volunteers.The march spanned 240 miles (390 km), from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, which was called Navsari at that time (now in the state of Gujarat). Growing numbers of Indians joined them along the way. When Gandhi broke the British Raj salt laws at 8:30 am on 6 April 1930, it sparked large scale acts of civil disobedience against the salt laws by millions of Indians.

পাথারকান্দি বিধানসভার দক্ষিণ কচুবাড়ী গ্রামের এক দিনমজুর সফিক আলীর‌ প্রতিবন্ধী শিশু নেহার উদ্দিন এর‌ কিছু অঙ্কন‌ সোস্যাল মিডিয়ায় তুলে ধরলাম।

যে ছেলে কথা বলতে পারে না, কানে শুনে না, সেই ছেলর এই প্রতিভা দেখে সত্যি দারুন লাগল।। এই প্রতিভাবান ছেলেকে যদি একটি art school এ ভর্তি করানো যায়, সঠিক সময়ে সঠিকভাবে guide করা যায় তবে সে একদিন আমাদের সমাজের গৌরব হয়ে উঠতে পারে। কিন্তু আর্থিক অভাবের জন্য তার বাবা তাকে অঙ্কনের প্রয়োজনীয় সামগ্রীগুলো ও সঠিক সময়ে এনে দিতে পারেন না।। তবু ও সে পরিস্থিতির কাছে হার না মেনে নিজের প্রতিভাকে বিকশিত করেই যাচ্ছে।

আসুন না আমরা সবাই, এই প্রতিভাবান প্রতিবন্ধী ছেলের প্রতি আমাদের সাহায্যের হাত বাড়াই, যাতে তার প্রতিভা সুন্দরভাবে বিকশিত হতে পারে।
