Dhaliwal Bet ਜੱਨਤ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸੋਹਣੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀ? The village was established by Dhaliwal Jats and almost all Jatt families share the common surname Dhaliwal.

Dhaliwal Bet is a popular village of Kapurthala District situated on the Beas river bank.. Lieutenant (A/Capt.) Jhaggar Singh hailed from Dhaliwal Bet. He died fighting on alien land during World War I. His younger brother, Amar Singh, too, died very young. Posted as Subedar in the British army, he died while leading a rebellion against the British rule.

Every year, people of Dhaliwal Bet commemorate Amar Singh's sacrifice
The village is famous for an annual Kabbadi tournament and the Baba Mohabbat Shah Mela, held in the end of June, where top Punjabi artists perform.
