A Landmark Step Towards Accessible Assistive Technology! ✨🦽
India’s 2nd and Gujarat’s 1st ALIMCO AT Mart was jointly inaugurated today at Nadiad, Gujarat, by the Additional Collector, Kheda–Nadiad, and Shri Praveen Kumar, CMD, ALIMCO, in the presence of senior officials from ALIMCO and the District Administration.
The ALIMCO Assistive Technology Mart (AT Mart) marks an important step towards making assistive devices and rehabilitation solutions more accessible, affordable and readily available to Divyangjan and Senior Citizens.
The AT Mart will provide access to a wide range of assistive products under one roof, helping divyangjan,senior citizens to explore suitable solutions based on their individual needs.
The programme was also honoured by an Audio-Visual Message from the District Collector, Kheda, conveying his good wishes and support for this important initiative.

Strengthening Inclusion. Expanding Access. Empowering Lives.

A significant step towards a more inclusive and accessible India was marked today in Manesar with the inauguration of the Pradhan Mantri Divyasha-Vayoshri Kendra (PMDVK) at Honda Samajik Vikas Kendra, Naurangpur.

The Centre was inaugurated by Ms. Manmeet Kaur Nanda, Additional Secretary, , Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, in the presence of Shri Praveen Kumar, CMD, , Shri Vinay Dhingra, Trustee HIF, Ms. Sachimi Takata,Trustee HIF and other officials from ALIMCO

The PMDVK marks a significant milestone in the decade-long partnership between ALIMCO and Honda India Foundation, bringing together Government programmes, ALIMCO’s expertise and Corporate CSR to strengthen last-mile access to assistive devices and rehabilitation support.

With assessment, assistive devices, rehabilitation and related services under one platform, the Centre is expected to support more than 15,000 beneficiaries annually, including Divyangjan and senior citizens.

The inauguration was followed by a walkthrough of the Centre’s facilities, with assistive devices also distributed to beneficiaries.

A New Milestone in Inclusion & Empowerment!

ALIMCO is proud to announce the Launch Ceremony of Pradhan Mantri Divyasha-Vayoshri Kendra (PMD-VK) on 2 September 2026, further strengthening our commitment to making quality assistive devices and rehabilitation support more accessible to Divyangjan and Senior Citizens.

The occasion will be graced by Ms. Manmeet Kaur Nanda, Additional Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

The programme will also witness the distribution of assistive devices and appliances to Divyangjan and Senior Citizens, bringing technology, mobility and greater independence closer to those who need them.

Through its expanding network of PM Divyasha-Vayoshri Kendras, ALIMCO continues to take forward the Government of India’s vision of accessibility, dignity, inclusion and empowerment — from policy to people, and from technology to transformation.

श्री प्रवीण कुमार, सीएमडी, एलिम्को द्वारा श्री राजेश कुमार सिंह का स्वागत करते हुए उन्हें एलिम्को की उन्नत विनिर्माण सुविधाओं, आधुनिक उत्पादन इकाइयों, तकनीकी क्षमताओं एवं दिव्यांगजनों और वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के लिए विकसित विविध सहायक उपकरणों एवं पुनर्वास उत्पादों के साथ-साथ निगम द्वारा प्रदान की जा रही पुनर्वास सेवाओं एवं लाभार्थी-केंद्रित सुविधाओं के बारे में अवगत कराया।

ALIMCO Organises Integrated State Review Meeting in Meghalaya

The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, Meghalaya, organised an Integrated State Review Meeting bringing together District Officers, Special Educators (SEs), District IE Co-ordinators (DIECOs), District AI Coordinators, District Support Units (DSUs) and other key stakeholders.
The meeting, chaired by Smt. Richa Kulkarni, IAS, State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, Meghalaya, focused on strengthening support systems for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) through greater convergence, accessibility, assistive technology, awareness and field-level coordination.
A key focus of the discussions was the need to move from the traditional medical model of disability towards a more inclusive social model—one that focuses not on “fixing” the child, but on removing barriers and adapting educational systems, environments, technology and support mechanisms to individual needs.
💬 The interactive session provided a valuable platform for grassroots functionaries and Special Educators to share field-level challenges, particularly those arising from Meghalaya’s difficult terrain, remote locations and gaps in digital connectivity, and to identify practical solutions.
📊 Impact at a Glance: • 3,085 CwSN served in Meghalaya over the last five years
• Approximately 30,000 CwSN benefited across the North-Eastern region during the same period
The meeting reaffirmed the collective commitment of ALIMCO and Samagra Shiksha, Meghalaya to building a more responsive, accessible and inclusive education ecosystem where every child receives the right support, equal opportunities and dignity to learn, grow and participate.
