Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary, a marvel of nature, is the 2nd largest stretch of mangrove forests in India. Home to more than 24 mangrove tree species and 120 bird species, the critically endangered white-backed vulture and long-billed vulture can also be spotted here.

Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary has the Asia's second longest Boardwalk or Canopy Walks with 2.295 kms which is made of the locally available wood named Anogeissus and without cutting a single tree. Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary Kakinada's Bay of Bengal coastline having become a safe nesting centre for globally threatened Olive Ridley turtles and green turtles , what with the Forest Department and the East Godavari Riverine Estuarine Eco-system Foundation (EGREE), a UNDP-GOI-Go AP and GoMEF project, having jointly taken up conservation methods that account for targetable progress.
