Strengthening Manipur’s renewable future

Director MANIREDA Dr. Sharath Chandra Arroju, IAS, along with DC Kakching Shri U. Chaitanya, IAS, inspected the 132/33 kV substations at Elangkhangpokpi and Kakching on 2nd April 2026.

Under the NESIDS scheme, 600 kWp and 800 kWp grid-connected solar power plants are being set up at the respective sites. Field-level challenges were reviewed and resolved on the spot with officials from MSPDCL, MSPCL, district administration, EPC contractors, and consultants.

⏳ Commissioning expected within 2–3 months.
☀️ A step forward towards sustainable and reliable energy in Manipur.
