In recognition of World Toilet Day 2025, the Public Health Engineering Department, Jorhat Division, marked the occasion with the foundation stone laying of 5 nos. Of Health Centers under Mariani LAC. The ceremony was led by Hon’ble MLA of Mariani LAC, Sri Rupjyoti Kurmi, and attended by the Executive Engineer (PHE), Jorhat Division; GP President GPs; Assistant Executive Engineer (PHE) of Jorhat/Titabar Sub-division; the BDO of respective Block; as well as officials from the Health Department, P&RD, and PHED.

The Public Health Engineering Department, Jorhat Division, organized a Tariff Collection Card distribution ceremony at 36 No. Nowboisha GP. A total of 40 cards were handed over to consumers from the same GP who are receiving safe drinking water through the partially commissioned zone of the Jorhat Composite Pipe Water Scheme (NNP). The event was graced by the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Jorhat; the Executive Engineer (PHE), Jorhat Division; the Assistant Executive Engineer (PHE), Jorhat Sub-Division; along with other PHED officials from Jorhat and representatives of the GDCL Team.

On the occasion of 'Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata: Swatantrata ke Utsav, Swachhata ke Sang' celebrating the Independence Day, Jorhat District is handing over SBM-G assets to 27 SHGs for the operation of Solid Waste Management assets. Along with this other activities like Art competition, handwashing activity, demonstration of backwashing of Stand Alone System at School provided under JJM activities are also taken.

An orientation session on the Urban Jal Doot Programme for NSS Volunteers of CKB Commerce College, Jorhat was organised by the Public Health Engineering Department, Jorhat Division today i.e 08.08.25.

The orientation programme was conducted by the State Jaldoot Team headed by Sri Arnav Kr Baruah, Asst. Mission Director, JJM, Jorhat.

Shri Jay Shivani, IAS, District Commissioner, Jorhat attended the orientation and inspired the NSS volunteers to become champions of change in WaSH.

The session was also attended by the Principal of CKB Commerce College, Assistant Commissioner, Jorhat, Executive Engineer (PHE), Jorhat Division.
