football is dying due to politics!


Bhaichung was a captain of Indian national team, most well known footballer in India who played as striker, nicknamed as Sikkimese Sniper. He has been the face of Indian football on international platform. To simply put, arguably there's no greater name in football than Bhutia in India.

Whereas, Chaubey played as goalkeeper hailing from Bengal. Currently, a politician from the BJP Party.

When it comes to football, Chaubey is a mouse while Bhutia is an elephant. But the former has won the election to the post of President of All India Football Federation with ultra-thumbing majority securing 98% of the total votes.

Message: no one cares about your skill and expertise as long as you are from the northeast, and no one cares about the sanctity of football game too as long as it fulfills your vested interest.
Whoever from northeast is presently seated in high position at all India level "public office", they are seemingly nothing less than just for a show for bosses' benefits. I'm afraid this is true.

I don't mind Chaubey getting elected at all, but 33:1 is my problem. Sigh!
