Parivartan organised a village visit specifically for women empowerment on 10th November 2019. It was an amazing experience, spending time with residents of 'Ghadav Village'. As it's a well-known proverb that if we teach a woman we educate a whole family. The women who make the future of a country brighter, it was a pleasure to spend time with some.

The visit had the main objective of spreading awareness about health and hygiene which is much required for females of a society. They were told about the health and hygiene measures they should adopt in their routine life as a housewife or a farmworker. A specialist doctor from the Goyal hospital gave her valuable time for the program. This was followed by a fun time which included interaction with the women. In the form of a game, they shared their food, festival, farming and traditional practises with us.

A short movie was screened about the importance of education. The movie was showcased traditional Rajasthani culture, songs and language. All of us enjoyed it the most. The strong message of the importance of education in our lives was given.

Finally, at the end of the program, we distributed 1000 Sanitary Napkins, Diclofenac gels, Savlon soaps and band-aids to each person, so that they take care of their health and hygiene in a better way.

Special mention:- All the above-mentioned items were bought at subsided prices from the ''Jan Aushadhi Kendra, Jodhpur''. It was great to search for these Jan aushadhi shops of Jodhpur made especially by the Government of India for better and subsidized medical provision for each citizen.
Address of these Jan aushadhi Kendra's in Jodhpur city was given to the Anganwadi head of the village as well as to the women there for future medicine requirement. Use of all above-mentioned item was demonstrated to them. Lastly, we ended the program with the distribution of refreshments.

People of the labour camp with our volunteers wrote "ॐ, स्वस्तिक and परिवर्तन" by using diyas.

The program started with the मातृ-वंदना - हमें भक्ति दो माँ, हमें शक्ति दो माँ... Then the whole labour camp was lightened up with diyas with the prayer of पुनातु माम् तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं ( पावन बना दो हे देव सविता ).. After this Aarti of Maa Lakshmi was done.
