❤️ Rotary Club of Jamshedpur – Pacemaker Project ❤️

Mr. Suru Kaibarto was admitted after experiencing episodes of giddiness and chest pain. Medical evaluation revealed a complete heart block, requiring the urgent implantation of a pacemaker.

Coming from an economically underprivileged family, he was unable to afford the cost of the procedure.

With the support of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur and the generous sponsorship of Rtn. B. Chandrashekhar RSP and PP Rtn. Lalita Chandrashekhar, a pacemaker was successfully implanted on 29 June 2026.

🙏 This marks the 16th pacemaker implanted under the Club's Pacemaker Project during the current Rotary year.

While the project is typically funded for 12 beneficiaries annually, the continued generosity and compassion of our Rotarians have enabled us to ensure that no deserving patient gets denied due to lack of funds.

Service Above Self.

*Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Awards Scholarship to Deserving Girl Student*

Continuing its commitment to supporting education and empowering young girls, the *Rotary Club of Jamshedpur* awarded a scholarship of ₹4,000 to *Prachi Kumari,* a Class IX student of Jusco School, South Park, Bistupur.

The scholarship is part of a meaningful initiative started by Rsp. Saroj Taneja, wife of Rtn. Gopal Taneja. While serving as a Moderator, she generated a corpus through Interact Club activities and placed the amount as a Fixed Deposit in the Club's account. Every year, the interest earned from this deposit, along with additional contributions, is used to provide financial assistance to a deserving girl student selected through a well-defined process.

This year, the scholarship amount was awarded to Prachi Kumari by Rsp. Saroj Taneja

The Club commends the sustained generosity and vision of Rsp. Saroj Taneja & PP Rtn. Gopal Taneja towards ensuring that this scholarship continues to support deserving students in their pursuit of education.

*Rain Water Harvesting Project Inaugurated at Kasidih High School*

As part of its commitment towards environmental sustainability and water conservation, *Rotary Club of Jamshedpur* successfully executed a *Rain Water Harvesting Project* at *Kasidih High School, Sakchi*, which was inaugurated on *25th June 2026* by *PDG Rtn. Ronald D'Costa*.

The project comprises a covered rainwater recharge pit with an approximate storage capacity of *25 cubic metres*, along with a comprehensive pipeline network connecting the terraces of all the school buildings to channel rainwater into the recharge structure. The initiative is expected to significantly contribute towards groundwater recharge while promoting responsible water management practices within the school campus.

Before the inauguration, PDG Rtn. Ronald D'Costa addressed the students on the importance of rainwater harvesting and water conservation. He emphasized the need to preserve every drop of water and encouraged the students to become ambassadors of environmental stewardship in their homes and communities.

To ensure the long-term sustainability and proper functioning of the project, a *Rain Water Harvesting Maintenance Committee* was constituted comprising members of the school management, the School President, teachers, and student representatives. The committee will be responsible for the regular maintenance, monitoring, and upkeep of the system, ensuring that the facility remains functional and effective for years to come.

The project was executed under the leadership of *Rtn. RK Singh, Chairperson - Water Management Committee* with guidance from PDG Rtn. Ronald D'Costa. *Rotary Club of Jamshedpur*, reaffirming the Club's continued dedication to sustainable community development and environmental conservation through impactful and long-lasting service projects.
