MSME-DFO, Jammu, organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme at Govt. ITI, Gool, District Ramban, under the aegis of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India and under the guidance of Joint Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, A.K. Tamaria, and the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban.
Sh. Ravinder Kumar Anand, General Manager, DIC Ramban, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and highlighted that the scheme empowers traditional artisans to transform their skills into sustainable livelihoods, promoting self-reliance and market-driven growth.
Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Jammu, delivered the welcome address and briefed participants about the financial and institutional support available under the scheme, urging timely loan repayment and wider awareness.
During the programme, 18 digital accounts and 22 QR codes were generated on the spot to facilitate Digital Payment Incentives. Additionally, 10 beneficiaries were onboarded onto Meesho, enabling them to market their products online.
Other dignitaries who addressed the participants included Sh. Swaroop Kotwal, Project Manager, DIC Ramban; Sh. Tasneef Rasool, Principal, Govt. ITI Gool; Sh. Parvez Iqbal Bhat, Domain Expert, PM Vishwakarma; representatives from India Post Payments Bank (IPPB); and Sh. Fasil Shamim, Branch Head, Jammu & Kashmir Bank.
An interactive Q&A session addressed queries related to training, finance, and enterprise establishment. Around 320 participants attended the programme, which concluded with a vote of thanks by Aabid Hussain, Young Professional, Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
