MSME-DFO office Jammu conducted a meeting with Industrial Associations of Jammu & Samba on 09-04-2026 at MSME-DFO office Digiana Jammu, along with a virtual interaction with associations from UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Ladakh.

MSME-DFO Jammu organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme on 27 Feb 2026 at Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology, Patoli, Jammu, with 85+ students participating enthusiastically.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Sh. Amit Kumar. Tamaria, Joint Director, MSME DFO-Jammu.

Er. Rajnish Magotra and (Dr.) Sanjeev Singh welcomed the initiative.

Key sessions were delivered by Sh. Shahid Hussain Wani, Sh. Amit Kumar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Sh. R.K. Raina (Retd.), Mrs. Sheetal, Faculty, and Sh. D.K. Tyagi, who highlighted MSME, UT Govt, JKEDI and banking support schemes.

27 Feb 2026: Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, through MSME-DFO Jammu, organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at Govt. ITI RS Pura, Jammu under the guidance of Sh. A.K. Tamaria, Joint Director.

Programme Coordinator Ankit Sharma highlighted MSME schemes on skill development, credit support & technology upgradation, motivating youth towards self-employment. Around 150 participants attended. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Neha Thakur, Centre Manager, Crisil.

An awareness programme on PM Vishwakarma was organised at Aspirational Block Khawas, District Rajouri, under the guidance of Sh. Amit Kumar. Tamaria, Joint Director, MSME-DFO Jammu.

The programme aimed to sensitise traditional artisans and craftspeople about the benefits of the scheme, including skill upgradation, toolkit incentives, collateral-free credit, digital transaction incentives, and marketing support.

Addressing the participants, Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, highlighted the scheme’s focus on formal recognition and comprehensive support to strengthen traditional enterprises and improve livelihoods. He encouraged eligible artisans to register and take advantage of the benefits.

The event witnessed active participation from artisans, local officials, and stakeholders, reaffirming the commitment towards economic empowerment and self-reliance in the region

MSME-DFO, Jammu, organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme at Govt. ITI, Gool, District Ramban, under the aegis of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India and under the guidance of Joint Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, A.K. Tamaria, and the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban.

Sh. Ravinder Kumar Anand, General Manager, DIC Ramban, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and highlighted that the scheme empowers traditional artisans to transform their skills into sustainable livelihoods, promoting self-reliance and market-driven growth.

Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Jammu, delivered the welcome address and briefed participants about the financial and institutional support available under the scheme, urging timely loan repayment and wider awareness.

During the programme, 18 digital accounts and 22 QR codes were generated on the spot to facilitate Digital Payment Incentives. Additionally, 10 beneficiaries were onboarded onto Meesho, enabling them to market their products online.

Other dignitaries who addressed the participants included Sh. Swaroop Kotwal, Project Manager, DIC Ramban; Sh. Tasneef Rasool, Principal, Govt. ITI Gool; Sh. Parvez Iqbal Bhat, Domain Expert, PM Vishwakarma; representatives from India Post Payments Bank (IPPB); and Sh. Fasil Shamim, Branch Head, Jammu & Kashmir Bank.

An interactive Q&A session addressed queries related to training, finance, and enterprise establishment. Around 320 participants attended the programme, which concluded with a vote of thanks by Aabid Hussain, Young Professional, Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

An Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) was successfully conducted on February 10, 2026, at Government Polytechnic, Ramban, under the aegis of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, under the guidance of Sh. Amit Kumar. Tamaria, Joint Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, and Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Sh Mohammad Alyas Khan (JKAS).

The session featured key addresses by Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Jammu, along with officials from Handicrafts, DIC, JKEDI, RSETI, banking institutions, and innovation agencies. Around 80 participants attended and gained insights into MSME schemes, industrial incentives, skill development initiatives, and institutional finance for micro and small enterprises.

The Ministry of MSME, through MSME Development & Facilitation Office (DFO), Srinagar, successfully organised a two-day Vendor Development Programme (VDP) involving nine (CPSUs)—a first-of-its-kind initiative in the Kashmir region. The programme aimed at strengthening market linkages between CPSUs and local Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs).

Senior officers from the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, including Mr. Masrat Ul Islam (Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir), Mr. Mehmood Ahmad Shah (Director, KPDCL), and Mr. Khalid Majeed (Director Industries & Commerce Kashmir), graced the event. The programme was organised under the guidance of Shri Amit Kumar Tamaria, Joint Director & HoO, MSME DFO Jammu, and coordinated by Shri Saheel Alaqband, Assistant Director, MSME DFO Srinagar.

Leading CPSEs—NHAI, NHPC, IOCL, FCI, BPCL, HPCL, POWERGRID, CPWD, and NSIC—participated, with senior officials visiting from outside J&K. Officials from GeM Headquarters, New Delhi, also engaged with local enterprises, highlighting the role of public procurement in promoting regional MSEs.

The programme witnessed active participation from industry associations including FCIK, KCCI, PHDCCI, and representatives of Industrial Estates. Key discussions focused on GeM onboarding, procurement opportunities, and challenges faced by manufacturing-based MSEs.

A special handicrafts exhibition was also organised to encourage CPSUs to procure local products through the GeM portal.

The VDP concluded successfully, creating awareness and opening new avenues for enhanced marketing and procurement opportunities for manufacturing MSEs in Kashmir.

MSME-DFO, Jammu organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) at Government ITI, Poonch with the objective of promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment among youth.

During the programme, participants were sensitised about the vast opportunities available in the MSME sector, various Government of India schemes, banking and financial assistance, and the procedures for setting up micro and small enterprises.

Officials from MSME-DFO, Jammu along with other resource persons deliberated on important aspects such as financial support mechanisms, skill development initiatives, and institutional support available to aspiring entrepreneurs. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from trainees, reflecting keen interest in entrepreneurial avenues.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, wherein participants’ queries were addressed and they were encouraged to consider entrepreneurship as a viable and sustainable career option. The event ended with a formal vote of thanks.

An Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) was organised by MSME–Development Office, Jammu, at Government ITI, Rajouri, on January 29, with the objective of promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment among youth.
During the programme, trainees were sensitised about the wide range of opportunities available in the MSME sector, various government schemes, banking support, and the procedures for setting up enterprises, including MSME registration.
Resource persons from ITI, J&K Bank, District Industries Centre (DIC), and MSME-DFO, Jammu, addressed the participants and shared valuable insights on skill development, financial assistance, credit facilities, and MSME-related schemes.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, during which participants actively engaged with the resource persons and were encouraged to explore entrepreneurship as a viable and sustainable career option, followed by a vote of thanks.
