Hon'ble Chief Justice of India, in the presence of Hon'ble Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, Hon'ble Judges, and Chairperson of the High Court’s IT Committee inaugurated 'Digital Courts for Contested Traffic Challans', and 'Bail Orders Sharing Module on the e-Prison platform', at Delhi High Court. For Traffic challans, 2 digital courts have been set up for East & North-East districts in Karkardooma courts complex; these would adjudicate the challans by conducting the proceedings online. It has been proposed to set up a digital traffic court in each district court of Delhi. The Bail Order module would provide a platform to the Delhi High Court & District courts to share digitally-signed bail orders with inmates or undertrials lodged in any prison in the country. e-Prison generates a list of cases of prisoners not released despite the bail being granted to them and thereby helps the Legal Service Authority to take appropriate steps.
