*J&K POLICE IN SHOPIAN ORGANIZES CYBER AWARENESS PROGRAMMES IN HERMAIN*

May 08: Continuing its efforts to spread awareness about cyber safety, Shopian Police today organized Cyber Awareness Programme at Government Middle School Chakoora and Huda Educational Institute Checkcholend.

During the programme, students were educated about various cybercrimes including online scams, bank fraud, identity theft, cyber stalking, social media misuse and OTP-related frauds. The participants were advised to use social media responsibly, avoid sharing personal or banking details online and remain alert while using digital platforms. The interactive session also provided students an opportunity to discuss their concerns and seek guidance regarding cyber-related issues.

The programme highlighted the proactive role of Shopian Police in promoting cyber awareness and ensuring a secure digital environment. Such initiatives play a vital role in strengthening the bond between police and the community, while empowering the younger generation to stay safe in the digital world.

Drug Awareness Programme Held at wisdom public high school Noorbagh baghwanpora near hanfiya masjid, Srinagar
Srinagar, may 4th, 2026:
A Drug Awareness Programme was successfully conducted today at wisdom public high school, Noorbagh baghwanpora near hanfiya masjid, Srinagar. The programme was organized by Noora-ul-Ismail Trust Youth Club Srinagar in collaboration with the Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department, Srinagar.support of JKCIP
The primary aim of the programme was to educate students and participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among the youth.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers, making it highly interactive and impactful. Speakers highlighted the growing concern of substance abuse and emphasized the importance of awareness, prevention, and community responsibility.

*J&K POLICE IN SHOPIAN CONTINUES ANTI-DRUG AWARENESS CAMPAIGN*

May 04: Continuing its sustained efforts to combat drug abuse and safeguard the future of youth, Shopian Police organized a series of impactful awareness programmes under the ongoing "Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan."

Awareness sessions held at Goverment Middle School Paderpora Hermain & Oxford Public School Imamsahib witnessing enthusiastic participation from students and teaching staff.The awareness sessions sensitized young minds about the harmful effects of drug abuse,highlighting its physical, psychological, social and legal consequences. Students were encouraged to adopt a healthy, drug-free lifestyle and act as ambassadors of change within their communities.Officers and officials from the Police actively participated.

Shopian Police reiterated its firm commitment to continue such awareness drives under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan, with the objective of building a safer, healthier and drug-free society.
