BBFS Residential Academy is set to organize trials in JAMMU.
Jammu, 7 Apr, 2024: Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools (BBFS), powered by enJogo, will conduct trials for its residential academy program in the Parade Ground, Jammu on 14th April 2024.
After completing India’s largest trials initiative in 2022-23, BBFS Residential Academy is launching the second season in Jammu. In the first edition, 18,500+ football players aged between 9-23 registered for the trials from 120+ Indian cities.
Players born between 1st January 2007 to 31st December 2014 are eligible to participate in the trials. The reporting time is 9:00 IST. Footballers must carry their kits and a valid Government ID. A registration fee of INR 100/- is applicable for all attendees.
With the motto of 'Building Future Champions', the upcoming edition of the BBFS Residential Academy trials will once again cover all parts of the country. Select BBFS scouts will travel to different cities and engage a larger pool of talents.
Bhaichung Bhutia, Co-founder of BBFS and football legend, weighed in on the significance of the initiative, stating, "For young players to get the right opportunities and become professional footballers, they must enter a well-structured sporting curriculum from an early age. BBFS Residential Academy trials are a great opportunity for talented players to join our program and train to achieve their best potential"
The trials have become a vital stepping stone for young players who aspire to pursue a football career. It not only gives them a platform to evaluate their prowess in the game but also a chance to join the country's largest and most-rated football program.
BBFS Residential Academy is a unique boarding school program that offers an ideal blend of football excellence and academic development. Currently, BBFS Residential Academies are functional in four regions - Vedas International School (Greater Gurgaon), Barnes School & Junior College (Maharashtra), Assam Rifles Public School (Meghalaya), Maharishi Vidya Mandir (Karnataka).
BBFS has developed a robust scouting network where many academy players have played for the India age-group teams, Indian Super League, I-League, and Santosh Trophy teams. Gaurav Bora (Northeast United), Rohit Kumar (Bengaluru FC), Aashique Kuruniyan (Indian national team), and many other international stars started at BBFS and have risen through the ranks. Recently, four players from the BBFS Residential Academy were selected for the India age-group camp. Two players (Manbhakupar Malngiang and Lionel D Rymme) were shortlisted for the U-16 SAFF Championships in 2023, where India emerged as champions.
