As per the roster issued by the District Ayush Officer Anantnag Dr Abdul Rehman Rather, Ayush Medical camps under Nasha Mukht Baharat Abhiyan was organised on 1st june 2026 at AHWC Marhama & Kherium Anantnag.
The camp focussed on creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse and their impact on individuals,families and society.Free medical consultations and Ayush medicines were also provided to the attendees.

As part of the ongoing *Nasha Mukta Abhiyan, a*free Piles Screening Camp was successfully organized today on 25th May 2026 at AYUSH Health and Wellness Center YK Pora, Anantnag. The programme aimed at promoting public health awareness, prevention of ano-rectal diseases, and educating people about the harmful effects of drug abuse and substance dependence.
A good number of patients and local residents participated enthusiastically in the camp. The screening of piles and other ano-rectal diseases was done by the staff of AHWC YK Pora and provided necessary medical advice and AYUSH-based management to the beneficiaries.

*Counselling sessions* for patients regarding healthy lifestyle practices
Guidance regarding diet therapy and bowel habits for prevention of piles and constipation
Awareness regarding prevention of ano-rectal diseases through hygiene, balanced diet, hydration, and physical activity
Blood sugar tests were conducted for the attendees as part of routine health assessment
An informative lecture on misuse of drugs and substance abuse was delivered by Dr Shaheen Ahmad Mir Medical Officer including
Counselling regarding ways to remain healthy, stress-free, and free from addiction .
Participants were encouraged to adopt healthy routines including yoga, exercise, and avoidance of to***co and narcotic substances
During the awareness session, emphasis was laid on the growing menace of drug abuse among youth and the importance of collective social responsibility in building a drug-free society. The participants were educated about the physical, psychological, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse.

Shri Manoj sinha Hon'ble lieutenant Governor UT of J&K visited District Bandipora in connection with Mega padyatra Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan. Hon'ble Lieutenant Governer also visited Ayush stall. The stall showcased Ayush nursery having medicinal plants that are used in stress management and substance abuse disorders, IEC material related to harmful effects of To***co and its products, harmful effects of alcohol and myths and facts about drug abuse. Bandipora, May 22: SANKALP Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti, Department of Social Welfare Bandipora in collaboration with AYUSH Health Department Bandipora and NRLM Bandipora today organised a Free Medical Health Camp at Odina Ganstan, sumbal.

The camp witnessed active participation from local women, girls, elderly persons and deserving families who availed various free healthcare services during the programme.
Dr. Riyaz Ahmad along with the AYUSH medical team provided free medical consultation, health check-ups, blood pressure and sugar screening, health awareness counseling, and free medicines to the beneficiaries.
The medical team also guided the participants regarding preventive healthcare, hygiene, and the importance of timely medical consultation.
Officials of SANKALP Hub for Empowerment of Women and NRLM highlighted the importance of women’s health and well-being and stressed that healthy women build healthy families and communities. The officials also created awareness regarding various health-related welfare schemes and services available for SHG women and girls through different government departments.
The initiative aimed to extend basic healthcare facilities and awareness services to remote and underserved areas of the district, especially for vulnerable sections of society.
The participants appreciated the efforts of the Social Welfare Department and AYUSH Bandipora for organizing the medical camp in the area and providing free healthcare assistance at their doorstep.

A farewell party on the occasion of retirement of Dr Razia Shaheen was organised today at District Ganderbal to honour and acknowledge her dedicated services in the Ayush Department.

The programme was attended by Dr Shuja, Assistant Director Ayush Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Payer, District Ayush Officer Srinagar and Dr Bahar Ahmed Bhat, District Ayush Officer Ganderbal, along with other officers and officials of the department.

During the farewell function, the dignitaries highlighted the remarkable service tenure, professional dedication and valuable contribution of Dr Razia Shaheen towards patient care and the strengthening of Ayush healthcare services in the district. The speakers appreciated her sincerity, commitment and exemplary conduct throughout her career and wished her a healthy, peaceful and prosperous post-retirement life.
