All the students of JKBOSE are advised not to pay heed to fake links and websites announcing declaration of class 10 results.
The result of class 10th is almost ready and will be declared within few days soon after the appointment of new Chairman.
Result Declaration Committee headed by BOSE Chairman is a pre- requisite step before its declaration. In absence of the Chairman the results are likely to get a little delayed.
The students have been asked to wait for the formal declaration and stay tuned to the official website of the Board *www.jkbose.nic.in* for the latest credible updates.
They have been advised to avoid being misled by scamesters and fake narratives circulated by some mischievous elements, whose sole aim is to create confusion in the innocent student community.

5-Day Capacity Building Workshop on Question Paper Templates and Holistic Progress Card (HPC) concludes at JKBOSE
Srinagar, 21-12-2025:

A five-day Capacity-Building Workshop on Standardization of Question Paper Templates and Holistic Progress Cards (HPC) at the Secondary Stage, organized by the Academic Wing of the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) in collaboration with PARAKH (Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development), NCERT, concluded successfully today at the JKBOSE Auditorium, Bemina, Srinagar.
The workshop marked a significant step towards strengthening assessment reforms in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The workshop, conducted from 17-12-2025 to 21-12-2025, constituted the second leg (second phase) of JKBOSEs ongoing capacity-building initiative and was organized for a new cadre of educators with the specific objective of further strengthening question paper setting and evaluation practices at the Secondary stage.
It aimed to build a common understanding among paper setters, subject experts, moderators, and academic officers on competency-based assessment, standardized question paper design, and the effective implementation of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) to promote comprehensive student development.

The programme comprised training sessions, hands-on activities, and presentations focusing on:
Standardized question paper templates aligned with learning outcomes
Principles of competency-based and formative assessment
Designing balanced question papers assessing knowledge, skills, and application
Concept, structure, and implementation of the Holistic Progress Card at the Secondary stage
Alignment of assessment practices with PARAKH guidelines and NEP 2020

Experts emphasized that standardized question paper templates would ensure uniformity, fairness, and quality in examinations, while the Holistic Progress Card would facilitate a 360-degree assessment of learners, encompassing academic achievement, skills, attitudes, and co-curricular development.
More than eighty educators from JKSCERT, DIETs, and Government and Private Schools, representing all districts of the Kashmir Division participated in the workshop. Participants appreciated the hands-on sessions, group discussions, and expert guidance, noting that the programme provided them with clear conceptual understanding and practical clarity for implementation at the grassroots level.

The Director Academics, JKBOSE, expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the workshop and stated that this second phase would go a long way in shaping a robust and credible assessment system in the UT. He highlighted that the initiative reflects the Boards resolve to transition from rote-based examinations to learner-centric, competency-oriented assessment practices, thereby reducing examination stress and promoting meaningful learning..
He also expressed gratitude to PARAKH, NCERT, Prof. Indrani Bhaduri CEO & Head whose vision and continued support provided strong direction to the programme. He expressed gratitude to the Mr. Shantmanu (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary and Mr. Gh. Hassan Sheikh (JKAS) Secretary, JKBOSE for their sustained commitment to developing assessments that respond to contemporary educational needs and enhance students learning levels. He hoped that the momentum generated during the workshop would augur well for implementation in schools across the UT and would be an important step towards strengthening competency based assessment practices in the region.
JKBOSE reiterated its commitment to continuing such phased capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the assessment ecosystem, improve the quality of paper setting and evaluation, and ensure effective implementation of NEP 2020 reforms across schools in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Arif Jan, Deputy Director (Academics), JKBOSEKD, presented the summary report of the workshop, followed by the distribution of certificates to the participants by Mr. Ashok Kumar, Joint Secretary (Examinations). The valedictory session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Iftikar Imran, Academic Officer, JKBOSE.
