*Subject: J&K GEJAF forum resent govt order no 324 dt 22.10.2020*
*Press release*: An emergency meeting of GEJAF forum was held here today under the chairmanship of Ganesh khajuria senior member to discuss repurcussions of recent govt order regarding 22 years of service or 48 years of age. The maiden meeting on the issue was attended by representatives of more than 20 unions/federations of employees. The speakers explained that there is an environment of fear and uncertainty amongst all the employees as relevant clause 226 of CSR has already been a tool in the hands of political establishment and bureaucracy which targeted the poor employees merely to score political goals in the past. But employees had one appealing forum i.e court against any such victimisation. It is astonishing and dictatorial on the part of govt to issue such an order that too at this juncture when the govt had promised better deal for the employees of union Territory. All the leaders unanimously decided to lodge protest against this amendment in the service related clause of CSR without being consulted by the employees representatives. They appealed all the employees to tighten their belts to fight against this controversial amendment/Order. They also *urged upon all the remaining leadership of employees to rise to the occasion and attend a larger meeting tobe held on 3.11 .2020 at in green belt park at 2 p.m sharp to have broader discussions and arrive at a judicious and unanimous further course of action* as to how we should protect the service interests of employees of UT. Darbar Move Employees Federation extends support to EJAC-R’s protest call on 28th May
Federation appeals Govt to address employees’ issues
SRINAGAR, MAY 24: Extending support to J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC-R), Darbar Move Employees Federation (DMEF) today appealed all Jammu based employees to take active part in protest demonstration at Press Club Jammu on May 28 against various employees’ issues.
Federation’s State President Ovais Wani appreciated the efforts of members of EJAC-R led by its State President Babu Hussain Malik for visiting various Government offices in Jammu to appeal employees to suspend work and assemble at Press Club, Jammu near Tawi Bridge on May 28 to lodge their strong protest against various employee related issues in the state.
Wani said that the Federations is extending their support to (EJAC-R) to protest against reversing of decades old practice in J&K by Governor’s administration and for restoring summer timings from 8 am to 2 pm in Jammu instead of 10 am to 4.30 pm.
He said that Federation also demanded enhancement of Medical allowance in favour of employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 10,000 per month as like as Assembly member.
He said that both are serving public and are humans first so why difference in medical allowances and no special concession is given to the employees by the government. He added that the Employees are paying same medical consultation fee as Assembly members are paying for treatment then why is there differences in allowance.
He added that minimum medical consultation fee in the state is around 500 to 800 and the government is paying 300 per month which is quite unacceptable and employees are not able to consult good doctors.
He demanded removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre / amendment in SRO-333 and formation of roadmap policy of regularizing daily wagers and contractual

employees in various departments to avoid street protests and increasing unemployment crises in the state.
He said that it is matter of concern that the policies under various SRO’s is only absorbing 10% of daily wagers and rest are left in the mercy of God which needs to be look after to avoid crisis in the state. He demanded special amendment in SRO-520 so that maximum daily wagers will be absorbed in various departments.
Wani also demanded increasing HRA upto 30% as Central Government employee are being paid, besides providing free tour package to the state employees as it was being giving earlier. He added that this stress busting and exposure exercise will also improve the working atmosphere in Government offices.
NPS Special Cell DMEF State President Mohammad Amin Kilo also appealed to Jammu based employees to assemble at Press Club Jammu at around 10.30 am on May 28, 2019. He also demanded conversion of NPS into OPS, besides applying Central Government amendment in NPS as being implemented in other state.
He demanded implementation of 14% Government share as directed by the central Government, “Same is being implemented in other state of the country why is state Government delaying the same,” He added.
