Today, the IEC team conducted an awareness session on source segregation and home composting practices. During the session, citizens were informed about the importance of separating wet and dry waste at source. The process of home composting was explained in detail using wet waste, soil, earthen pots, drums, dustbins, and prepared compost as live examples. Citizens were also guided on how organic compost can be easily prepared at home using earthen pots and drums. Ready compost was displayed to demonstrate the final product and its use in gardening, plants, and improving soil fertility. Participants actively took part in the session and showed keen interest towards adopting sustainable waste management practices.
