the team visited and inspected the Comman Composting Ground. During the visit, the functioning and operation of the composting machinery were observed, and the progress of the ongoing work was reviewed.On the occasion, Team is briefed the workers on safe working practices, necessary safety precautions, and proper operation of the machinery.

Capacity Building Workshop Organized under NAMASTE Scheme

An Capacity Building training workshop was organized under the NAMASTE Scheme for the welfare, upliftment, safety, and empowerment of Sewer Workers and Waste Pickers.
During the workshop, an expert from the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment sensitized the participants about the benefits of the NAMASTE Scheme, workers’ rights, safety measures, and necessary precautions to be followed during sanitation-related work.
The participants were also made aware of the importance of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), following safe working practices, and availing the various welfare benefits available under the scheme.
The workshop was attended by Cantonment Board officials, Sanitary Inspectors, Supervisors, and other technical support staff, who actively participated in the session and discussed measures to ensure a safe, dignified, and secure working environment for sanitation workers.
