The Amer Coat of Arms, Society & Foundation is dedicated to the promotion and true realisation of The Citadel of Amer - to the world. The Citadel of Amer is a rare place, the knowledge of which has been largely lost to history. This majestic stronghold, home to the greatest General of India - the fearless Mann Singh , has so many multiple dimensions to it that defining Amer in simple terms is
not really possible. Imagine an ancient settlement that had the rare destiny of not being destroyed or razed to the ground, and further growing to be the great seat of power in the Rajputana. This page is the first step towards the larger recognition of the true importance of Amer. Often also called amber (pronounced as ameyr) this fortified citadel and city is what gave rise to Jaipur. Jaipur is just an extension of this seat of power, built when a larger city was required and the Citadel being locked within the hills didn't have this space.
