The 33rd Annual Function Celebration of Balighara Sahitya Sanskruti Pratisthana, Literary Meet, Poetry Recitation, Felicitation Ceremony has been Organised by Balighara Foundation on 15th January 2023 from 10 AM – 3 PM at Mundida, Pandua, Rahama, JS Pur, Odisha. On this occasion we had different Social Service Initiatives including Blood Donation Camp, Free Eye Test & Treatment Camp.

News Published: The Samaya - 16.01.2023 @ Mission Health and Wellness: Voluntary Blood Donation Camp @ 14.01.2023:

The COVID-19 pandemic saw a decrease in blood donation by people due to health and other purposes. It is high time to encourage people to donate blood and ensure fulfilling the requirements of the ones in need.

Balighara Foundation started the initiative from the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October) on the year 2003 with aims at spreading awareness about the importance of donating blood and the benefits associated with this noble cause. The blood you donate can be a lifesaver for someone so if you are a healthy and able human being, do not step away from this noble matter.

As part of our mission we planned a series of Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at different places in our State to instil awareness and educate the community members regarding the importance of donating blood and the benefits associated with this noble cause.

As part of the initiative we successfully organised the Third Rural Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 14th January 2023 at registered office of our organisation i.e. Mundida, Pandua, Rahama, Jagatsinghpur where we collected 45 blood units. The camp was organised by Balighara Foundation in association with Odisha Mo Parivar-Jeevan Bindu with the help of Central Red Cross Blood Bank, Cuttack.

It was worth to mention that in a Remote village like Mundida, we could motivate and gather local villagers to donate blood that to the maximum blood donors are women.

We will be doing this initiative in regular intervals to facilitate the people living at Rural areas. We request you to join us during this endeavour, and make the initiative a success. Special Thank you to Dr. Shresanu and his Blood Bank Team, Team Balighara and Distinguished Guests for organizing the successful camp. Please stay tuned with us for more such social initiatives.
