On 30th March, 2025, Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) organized a one-day legal awareness programme at Manjushree Vidyapith School (A Community School in Tawang), Tawang. The event was held in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Tawang and District Administrative, Tawang, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).The esteemed gathering was greeted warmly by Padmashree Awardee Lama Thupten Phuntsok, Founder Director of Manjushree Vidyapith. He expressed appreciation for hosting the awareness camp.Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Service Authority hosted a prestigious gathering of dignitaries, led by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and Mentor, (APSLSA), included Hon'ble Mr. Justice Vijay Bishnoi, Chief Justice, Gauhati High Court, and Patron-in-chief, APSLSA, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Suman Shyam, Judge, Gauhati High Court, and Executive Chairman, APSLSA. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Soumitra Saikia and Hon'ble Mr. Justice Devashis Baruah, Judges, Gauhati High Court, Guwahati also graced the programme. Hon’ble Mr. Justice B.R. Gavai praised Manjushree Vidyapith's humanitarian services and emphasized the importance of legal education in shaping a just society. He also highlighted Tawang's historical and spiritual significance, noting its connection to the 6th Dalai Lama. The legal awareness camp aimed to promote legal awareness and educate students and locals on their rights and responsibilities.The event concluded with a technical session conducted by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Tawang, which elaborated on NALSA schemes and other pertinent welfare initiatives. Smti. Mary Jonnom, Secretary, DLSA West Kameng, and in-charge DLSA Secretary, Tawang, delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the successful event to a close. Over 100 students, parents, staffs, teachers and dignitaries participated.
