6 Years of PM SVANidhi: Empowering Street Vendors, Strengthening Livelihoods

Launched under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during the COVID-19 pandemic, the PM SVANidhi scheme has emerged as a transformative initiative for street vendors across the nation, including Manipur.

Over the past six years, the scheme has enabled millions of small entrepreneurs to access collateral-free credit, embrace digital transactions, and build sustainable livelihoods with dignity and confidence.

Key Achievements:
✅ Over 75 lakh street vendors empowered
✅ More than 112 lakh loans worth ₹17,800 crore disbursed
✅ Enhanced financial inclusion through digital identity and formal credit access
✅ 841 crore digital transactions worth nearly ₹9 lakh crore recorded
✅ Over ₹800 crore provided as interest subsidy and cashback benefits

PM SVANidhi reflects the Government of India’s commitment to an Atmanirbhar Bharat, ensuring that every hardworking street vendor receives the support, opportunity, and recognition needed to prosper.
