We are pleased to announce the successful organization of a one-day Tuberculosis Awareness Sensitization cm Screening held in strong collaboration with the College of Agriculture (COA), Central Agricultural University (CAU), Iroishemba.

Program Focus:
Awareness & Education: Spreading vital information about TB prevention and transmission.

De-stigmatization: Fostering a supportive environment for those affected by the disease.

Early Detection & Care: Emphasizing the critical importance of timely diagnosis, treatment adherence, and the benefits available to TB patients through the NTEP.

Event Highlights:
This lecture served as an excellent model of multisectoral and interdepartmental collaboration.

A large number of faculties, staff, and students participated actively.

Screening was successfully conducted using AI-enabled handheld X-ray technology, allowing for rapid assessment.

The event featured expert resource persons from NTEP Manipur.

The NTEP extends its deepest appreciation to the leadership and staff of the College of Agriculture, CAU, for their esteemed support in making this program a grand success, and thanks all participants for their engagement.

In a landmark event, the Inaugural Meeting of State Technical Working Group of TB Co-Morbidities (STWG) was held today on 05th December 2025 at STDC Hall, State TB Office. The meeting was chaired by the State Mission Director Dr. M. Dinesh Singh and attended by State TB Task Force Chairman, leading state officials of National Health Mission Manipur including SNOs of NCD, NVHCP, MH, IDSP, DDs of MACS, Secretary IMA, Consultants of Program Divisions and Representatives of MSF and PPSA.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed today on 22nd November, 2025 in Guwahati, Assam, between the State Health Agency, Manipur, and National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) Bongaigaon, Assam as Nikshay Mitra for Nutritional Support to 1800 TB Patients and their Families across 16 districts of Manipur under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMBA).

Present were Smt. Kengoo Zuringla (IAS), CEO, State Health Agency Manipur; Dr. Hemlata Thokchom, State TB Officer; Mr. Siddhanta Salam, State Programme Coordinator-NTEP Manipur; and from NTPC Ltd.: Shri Arnab Maitra, Head of Project; Shri V.
