Reading Inspiration Day celebrated with enthusiasm at Kanya Mahavidyalaya
On behalf of the Library Department NSS NCC of Shrimati Akkatai Ramgonda Patil Kanya Mahavidyalaya, run by Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha, Kolhapur, the birth anniversary of former President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was celebrated Jointly as Reading Inspiration Day with great enthusiasm.
As per the guidelines of Shivaji University, the program began with the reading of the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, and Fundamental Duties from the Indian Constitution by Dr. Manoj Jadhav, Department of Political Science.
The Principal of the college, Dr. Babasaheb Dudhale, was the Chief Guest of the function. He delivered an inspiring lecture on the topic “Vachal Tar Vachal” (Read and You Will Succeed).
In his address, he encouraged the students to develop a regular reading habit, explore literature not only in Marathi but also in other languages, and shape their personality through knowledge. He emphasized that true joy lies in overcoming challenges through perseverance and learning.
The program began with a welcome address by Librarian Mrs. Minaj Nayakwadi,
introductory remarks by Dr. Dheeraj Shinde, NSS Programme Officer,
anchoring by Prof. Swati Halwankar,
and a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Pramila Surve, NCC Officer.
All teaching and non-teaching staff, administrative officers, and a large number of students actively participated in the program.
