AWARENESS PROGRAMS & INTERACTION WITH THE STUDENTS AT GEETANJALI DEVASHRAY SCHOOL & ST. ANDREWS SCHOOL IN THE LIMITS OF NORTH ZONE.
Student awareness & interaction programs were held by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North Zone at Geetanjali Devashray School (Gopalapuram PS limits) and at St. Andrews School (Bowenpally PS limits). About 950 students in toto have participated in the awareness programs at both the venues.
Purpose of this program was to educate school students about crucial issues affecting their well-being and safety. An attempt was made to raise awareness on topics such as physical and mental health, cybercrimes, drug abuse, and gender sensitivity.
Students have actively participated and interacted with their doubts. The interaction addressed about maintaining good health, recognizing signs of mental health issues, and seeking help when needed. Explained about online safety, recognizing cyber threats, protecting personal information and cautious online transactions and communication. Awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, understanding its effects, and encouraged healthy lifestyle choices. Explained about understanding and respect for all genders, addressing gender biases, and fostering an inclusive environment.
The program’s goal was to empower students, to make informed decisions, develop healthy habits, and to understand their social responsibilities, thereby contributing to a safer and more supportive school & social environment. Response and interaction of the students was fruitful and proactive.
