🇮🇳 Celebrating the 80th Independence Day 🇮🇳

PS Bhavani Nagar SHO along with all the staff proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day at the Police Station with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.

The National Flag was hoisted with honour, followed by a celebration of the values of freedom, unity, and service to the nation. The occasion was marked by a strong commitment to uphold the law, protect the public, and serve society with dedication.

Today, SI Sri. K. Shiva Kumar and SI Sri. G. Srikanth, along with the staff of P.S. Bhavani Nagar, conducted a Durg and Cyber Awareness Meeting at Firdous High School. During the session, students and staff were educated about various cybercrimes, including online frauds, phishing, OTP scams, UPI frauds, social media misuse, and cyber safety measures.

A Cyber Crime Awareness Program was conducted at Salam Chowk, near Samad Hotel, Talabkatta, within the limits of P.S. Bhavani Nagar. The program was led by the ACP, Mirchowk Division, along with the SHO, P.S. Bhavani Nagar, SI's, and police station staff.

During the awareness program, the public was educated about the increasing incidents of cyber frauds, including OTP scams, fake investment schemes, online loan app frauds, UPI/payment frauds, phishing links, and social media impersonation. Citizens were advised not to share OTPs, passwords, bank account details, or personal information with unknown persons and to verify suspicious calls and messages before responding.

The officers also explained the importance of reporting cyber frauds immediately through the 1930 Cyber Crime Helpline and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Pamphlets containing cyber safety tips were distributed among the public, and citizens were encouraged to remain vigilant while using digital platforms and online banking services.

The local residents appreciated the initiative and actively participated in the interactive awareness session.

Today, i.e., 25-07-2026, Dietician Smt. B. Hemani visited P.S. Bhavani Nagar and conducted Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments and other basic health-related tests for the police personnel in the presence of the SHO, P.S. Bhavani Nagar. During the session, she provided valuable guidance to all officers on maintaining a balanced diet, healthy eating habits, proper nutrition, weight management, and overall physical fitness. The officers actively participated in the programme and were advised to adopt healthy lifestyle practices to improve their well-being and enhance their work efficiency.

Today on 21.07.2026 I N.Karuna Kumar, Inspector of Police along with SI Shiva Kumar and Staff of PS Bhavani Nagar has conducted Cyber Awareness and Drugs Awareness Programmes at Florida School, Talabkatta, Aman Nagar B, Bhavani Nagar with Florida School's incharge, Principal and their staff and further conducted a rally with Florida School's students in the Murad Mahal Road and inside area of Aman Nagar B with slogans to aware the local public to avoid Drugs, beware of Cyber offences by showing banners, placards.

Accused Sentenced to Jail

Bhavani Nagar Police, during night patrolling on the intervening night of 20/21.07.2026, apprehended a suspicious person roaming at Razzak Galli, Talabkatta, Hyderabad, while carrying an iron rod and attempting to flee on noticing the police patrol.

The accused was identified as Syed Amir Wajid Ali @ Amer, S/o Late Syed Rabbani, aged 22 years, resident of Talabkatta, Hyderabad. He was produced before the Hon'ble Court in E-Petty Case No. HYD2334PC263653048 under Sections 61-A & 61-B of the Hyderabad City Police Act, PS Bhavani Nagar.

The Hon'ble Court convicted the accused and sentenced him to Simple Imprisonment for 06 (Six) days. Fine: Nil.

Bhavani Nagar Police remain committed to maintaining public peace and order by taking prompt legal action against persons found indulging in suspicious activities or attempting to disturb public tranquility.
