Kausalyam is back in Hyderabad and this time, every purchase you make goes further than you think.

Returning after five years, Kausalyam 2026 is a special fundraiser by the Crafts Council of Telangana in collaboration with renowned textile designer Gaurang Shah. A curated showcase of India’s finest handlooms, handicrafts, and living craft traditions, brought together to celebrate and sustain the artisans behind them.

Proceeds from Kausalyam will support the Threads of Hope Bazaar, helping artisans and craft outlets affected by the fire at Nature Bazaar, Dastkar, New Delhi this March.

CCT is also initiating a long-term livelihood programme to strengthen and sustain the Bharoon embroidery tradition and its artisan community in interior Telangana.

Come for the craft. Stay for the cause.

The Crafts Council of Telangana recently conducted Hands That Think, a six-day workshop led by Mr. Poludas Nagendra Satish, centred on material exploration, hand processes, and mindful making.

Beginning with a simple question “What are we wearing?”, the workshop unfolded through tactile learning and collective engagement. Participants worked from raw cotton to hand-spun yarn, gradually moving into weaving practices that explored rhythm, structure, colour, and form.

Through spinning, loom work, and collaborative exercises, the sessions encouraged patience, a deeper understanding of the creative process, and the relationship between hand, material, and thought.

Join us for a two-day immersive workshop to rediscover the intimate process of transforming raw cotton into yarn.

Guided by K J Satchidananda (Sacchu), we will explore the meditative rhythm of the charkha and the stories woven into every fiber.
