Sensation in Telangana Politics: TRP–MBT Unite for Social Justice and Political Empowerment
Hyderabad, April 23, 2026:In a significant and historic development in Telangana politics, the Telangana Rajyadhikara Party (TRP) and Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) have come together to launch a joint political movement aimed at achieving social justice, equitable representation, and political empowerment for Backward Classes (BCs), minorities, and other weaker sections of society. The announcement was made at a joint press meet held at the Press Club, Somajiguda where leaders of both parties formally declared their decision to collectively fight politically across the state. The alliance is being led by Chintapandu Naveen Kumar (MLC) @ Teen Maar Mallanna, President of TRP, and Amjed Ullah Khan, Spokesman of MBT, who addressed the media and outlined the vision and objectives of this joint initiative.
The movement will be guided by the powerful slogans “Jitni Abadi, Utni Sajedari” and “Evarento – Varikantha,” emphasizing the principle that political power and representation must reflect the population strength of communities. The leaders stated that BCs, minorities, and weaker sections have faced decades of political neglect and have often been reduced to mere vote banks by mainstream political parties. They asserted that true democracy and social justice can only be achieved when every community receives its rightful share in governance based on its population, and it is with this objective that TRP and MBT have decided to join hands and work together on a common platform.
Addressing the gathering, Chintapandu Naveen Kumar (MLC) @ Teen Maar Mallanna raised serious concerns over the non-implementation of the Right to Education Act in Telangana, alleging that private schools are indulging in large-scale fee exploitation, placing a heavy financial burden on common families. He remarked that many educational institutions are directly or indirectly controlled by political leaders, which has resulted in the deliberate neglect of the Act. He highlighted that due to this failure, poor and middle-class families are struggling to provide quality education to their children, leading to increased inequality and distress among the public. Calling for public participation, he invited citizens to join a mass gathering on April 26, 2026, at Indira Park, Hyderabad, to demand the effective implementation of the Right to Education Act and to raise a collective voice for educational justice.
Speaking on the occasion, Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT expressed strong dissatisfaction over the current political scenario, stating that minorities, particularly Muslims, feel disillusioned with both Congress and BRS due to unfulfilled promises and lack of genuine representation. He pointed out that several key minority institutions such as the Wakf Board, Haj Committee, Urdu Academy, and Minorities Finance Corporation have become largely inactive, while concerns over communal incidents and targeting of minority communities have increased. He emphasized that the TRP–MBT alliance represents a new hope for marginalized sections and stated that with BCs constituting nearly 50 percent and Muslims around 20 percent of the electorate, a united political effort could bring about transformative change in the state. He further asserted that this alliance would strive to ensure real power-sharing and work towards creating conditions where leadership from BC communities can emerge at the highest level.
Both leaders announced that TRP and MBT will undertake statewide tours in the coming days, reaching out to people through door-to-door campaigns and grassroots mobilization to build a strong movement for social justice and political empowerment. They expressed confidence that this alliance would bring a major shift in Telangana politics by challenging the dominance of traditional parties and ending vote-bank politics, replacing it with a system rooted in fairness, inclusion, and representation. The press meet witnessed the participation of a large number of party leaders, activists, and supporters, reflecting growing enthusiasm and support for this joint political initiative, which is being seen as a turning point in the state’s political landscape.
