A review meeting was conducted on the Preparedness of special Intensive Revision (SIR Phase III in Telangana by the Senior officials of the Election Commission of India (ECI) Shri Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary and Shri Sanjay Kumar, Under Secretary with Commissioner, GHMC & DEO, Hyderabad and Collector & District Election Officer and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers(AEROs) of Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri Districts on 02.06.2026 at Conference Hall, BRKR Bhavan in Telangana.

During the meeting, Shri C. Sudharsan Reddy, IAS, the CEO, Telangana has addressed the Officials and briefed the details of the Assembly Constituencies, Manpower (ERO, AERO, BLO Supervisors, BLOs), Elector Mapping and Help Desks in Telangana.

Election Commission of India Officials have given presentation on Special Intensive Revision and provisions of Constitution and RP ACT1950, The Registration of Electoral Rules 1960 and process . Further explained in detail the Importance of SIR and the Steps involved in the SIR .

3. Filing of Claims & Objections/Disposal
4. Issue of Notice and it’s Disposal
5. Final publication of the Roll.
Further The Election Officials have Clarified the doubts raised by the participants.

Today, a training programme on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) was conducted through Video Conference at the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in the presence of the Chief Electoral Officer, Shri C. Sudharsan Reddy, IAS, along with the Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. Vasam Venkateswar Reddy, IAS. The training was imparted to election officials including District Election Officers (DEOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and BLO Supervisors, to strengthen the election machinery through capacity building.
During the session, the CEO addressed the officials and emphasized the need to ensure that every eligible voter is included and no ineligible voter is included while conducting the programme in a highly transparent and error-free manner and briefly explained the aim of the training, Roles of DEO, ERO, AERO, BLO Supervisors, BLOs and IT related activities in SIR process.

During the session, the State Nodal Officer (STNO) explained the constitutional and statutory provisions of SIR along with the process and steps involved in the SIR eloborately.
The Project Manager (IT) explained the Modules of the ECINET, SIR phases Pre draft and Post draft , BLO APP, Technical aspects, how to fill the Enumeration Form and clarified the doubts raised by the participants.

The Commissioner of GHMC & DEO, Hyderabad District, all District Collectors & District Election Officers of the State, and the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), AEROs, and BLO Supervisors concerned were attended the Video Conference and Dy CEO (FAC), State Nodal Officers of CEO Office and staff concerned were participated in Video Conference.

✅ 2002 వరకు SIR ఒక సాధారణ ప్రక్రియగా నిర్వహించబడింది

✅ 20 సంవత్సరాల తరువాత సమగ్ర ధృవీకరణ అవసరం ఏర్పడిన కారణాలు:
* ఓటరు జాబితాలలో గణనీయమైన మార్పులు
* పునరావృత నమోదుల అవకాశం పెరగడం కారణంగా:
• వేగవంతమైన పట్టణీకరణ
• విద్య మరియు ఉపాధి కోసం తరచుగా వలసలు

# SIR-2026 # Today, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Shri C. Sudharsan Reddy, IAS, along with Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Vasam Venkateswar Reddy, IAS, Telangana, and Dy. CEO (FAC), Shri G.S. Chary, held a review meeting regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) program. The Commissioner of GHMC & DEO of Hyderabad District, Shri R.V. Karanan, IAS, the Collector and District Election Officer of Medchal-Malkajgiri District, Shri Mikkilineni Manu Choudary, I.A.S. and the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) concerned were attended the meeting at the BRKR Building, Hyderabad.
During the session, the CEO instructed officials to ensure that every eligible voter is included and every ineligible voter is removed, emphasizing that the program must be conducted in a highly transparent and error-free manner. EROs were directed to provide adequate training to Booth Level Officers (BLOs), as they play a key role in the entire SIR process. EROs and AEROs were also asked to continuously review the quality of work done by BLOs, providing additional handholding support wherever necessary to speedup the Mapping process.
Further, EROs were directed to focus on high-rise buildings and gated communities to create awareness about the SIR process. Extensive awareness programs should also be launched in urban pockets, with a specific focus on slum areas. To facilitate the process, enumeration forms will be made available in both English and Telugu. Additionally, officials must ensure that VIP and VVIP voters are properly mapped. To motivate the ground staff, the CEO announced that a 'Best BLO Award' will be presented to the top performer.
