SAIFABAD POLICE BUST INTERSTATE G***A TRAFFICKING RACKET; 21.251 KGS OF G***A SEIZED, TWO WOMEN ARRESTED

Hyderabad, : In a significant crackdown on narcotic drug trafficking, the Saifabad Police apprehended two women involved in the illegal transportation of G***a and seized 21.251 kilograms of G***a valued at several lakhs of rupees.
On 29-05-2026, acting on credible information received by Sri M. Swamy, Sub-Inspector of Police, Saifabad Police Station, a special team was formed after obtaining necessary permissions under the provisions of the NDPS Act. The police team, along with mediators and Clues Team personnel, conducted surveillance near Lakdikapul Railway Station parking area. At about 4:25 PM, two suspicious women carrying three luggage bags were intercepted near the private travels parking area at Lakdikapul Railway Station. Upon verification and search, police found 19 packets of G***a concealed inside the bags.
The accused have been identified as:
1. Tippigiri Laxmi @ Bugamma (43 years), native of Narayanpet District, Telangana and presently residing in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
2. Sandipkaur Makkhan Singh (60 years), resident of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
During interrogation, the accused confessed that they had procured the G***a from a supplier identified as Srinu of Visakhapatnam and were transporting the contraband to Mumbai for further sale and distribution. They further disclosed the involvement of two other associates, namely Baby and Sampath, who are currently absconding.
The seized property includes:
* 21.251 kilograms of G***a packed in 19 packets.
* Three luggage bags used for transportation.
* Two mobile phones used in the commission of the offence.
A case vide Cr.no 210/2026, U/s. 8( c) R/w 20(b)(ii)(c),27A & 29 Of NDPS Act has been registered & case file handed over to Sri.N.Rajender, Addl-Inspector of police, Saifabad. The accused were arrested and produced before the Hon'ble Court. Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining accused and to identify the source and distribution network involved in the interstate drug trafficking operation.
