🚨 LOOK BEFORE YOU OPEN! 🚗⚠️
A simple act like opening a car door can become a serious road hazard if done without checking for approaching vehicles or two-wheelers.

A recent incident in Surat serves as a live reminder of how dangerous “dooring” can be. A suddenly opened car door can strike a passing rider, potentially causing a severe crash.

🔹 Follow the “Dutch Reach” Method 🇳🇱

Instead of opening the door with the hand closest to it, use your far hand to open the door.

👉 For the driver, use your right hand to open the door.
👉 For the front passenger, use your left hand.
This simple movement naturally makes you turn your body and look over your shoulder, helping you spot approaching cyclists, two-wheelers and other road users before opening the door.

✅ STOP – LOOK – TURN – OPEN SAFELY

🛑 Check your mirror
👀 Look over your shoulder
🚗 Open the door slowly and only when safe

One small habit can prevent a life-changing crash.
