*BIS Hyderabad Organizes Stakeholder Conclave at Nalgonda District as part of WSD-2025*
As part of the World Standards Day 2025 Celebrations, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Hyderabad Branch Office, organized a Stakeholder Conclave at Nalgonda District on 7th October 2025. The event aimed to strengthen partnerships among stakeholders and promote awareness on the importance of standards in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The programme witnessed an active participation of over 140 stakeholders, including representatives from industries, government departments, jewellers, consumer organizations, and other quality-conscious organizations.

The programme began with a Welcome Address and reading of the *World Standards Day message* by *Smt. Sujatha, Director, BIS Hyderabad Branch Office and the Manak Geeth.*
*Shri K. Kavin, Deputy Director* , BIS Hyderabad, delivered an insightful presentation on “BIS Overview, Digital Initiatives, and Stakeholders’ Collaboration in Building a Quality Ecosystem.”

The conclave featured impactful presentations by guest speakers:
Smt. K. V. Sridevi spoke on *SDG 9:* Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and *SDG 17:* Partnerships for the Goals, highlighting how standardization supports industrial growth and sustainability.
Shri M. Raju presented on *SDG 8:* Decent Work and Labour Safety, emphasizing the significance of standards in ensuring safe, inclusive, and productive workplaces.
Shri Sundararaman presented on Sustainable Practices & Standards Maintainance by the Industry.
Participants actively engaged in discussions, sharing their experiences and suggestions on strengthening standardization practices. An interactive Question and Answer session followed, fostering meaningful dialogue among participants and BIS officials.
*Quality Pledge*
All participants took the Quality Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to follow Indian Standards and contribute towards creating a Quality and Sustainable Ecosystem in their respective sectors.
The Stakeholder Conclave at Nalgonda served as an effective platform for dialogue, learning, and partnership. The event reinforced the essence of this year’s World Standards Day theme — “Shared Vision for a Better World: Spotlight on SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.”
