An Inter- School Science Fest

On Dec 19, 2025, students of NPS participated in an Inter- School Science Fest, organised by B. D. Memorial Jr. School at the Indian Museum, Kolkata, under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The students from 21 different schools showcased innovative and thought-provoking scientific ideas aligned with contemporary global challenges.

Our students, Abhraneel Pal (Grade IV) and Sourish Banerjee (Grade IV), confidently presented their project, “One Farm, Many Solutions”, based on Sustainable Development Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production. They were ably mentored by our dedicated teachers. The project highlighted sustainable farming practices and emphasized efficient use of resources, waste reduction, and eco-friendly agricultural solutions. The clarity of concept, creativity, and social relevance of the project drew appreciation, from one & all.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Marc Boudin, Director, Alliance Française du Bengale, appreciated the originality of the students’ ideas and encouraged young minds to think globally while acting locally.

The fest proved to be a valuable platform for experiential learning, exposure, and confidence building for our students. The appreciation and encouragement received from the guests will serve as a strong motivation for our students in future to ideate and innovate.
