Gokarna is famous as da taluk.It is a village in kumta taluk.Gokarna is a place of pilgrimage .Calm sea beaches at om beach,kudle beach and half moon beach have attracted the foreign tourists as well as indian tourists.Now because of these factors,gokarna is now an internationally recognized tourist spot. Because of recognition of the place in hindu mythology ,this is famous as pilgrimage place.Beautiful beaches near gokarna have made this an internationally recognized tourist place.73% of the area in honavar division is forest.As large number of tourists is visiting this place,division has a best opportunity to educate the visitors with coastal biodiversity and need for conservation.Hence this project is prepared. Project will be inplemented in gokarna near om beach and kudle beach.Basic necessities under this project will be created for the visitors.Drinking water facility,toilets,bathing facility is to be created.To create awreness among visitors,slogan board,signage,hoardings.etc are to be erected.Seating arrangements are to be provided and paragolas are to be constructed.
