MrAjmal files another defamation suit

Guwahati, 19 April: AIUDF president Maulana Badruddin Ajmal has now filed a Defamation suit of Rs. 99 Crore against one Maulana Mostaque Anfar of Hojai.

The case has been registered at Kamrup-M Dist Judicial Magistrate's Court, Guwahati by number 144/2016 (Badaruddin Ajmal vs Mostsk Anfar Defamation suit)

Mr Mostaque Anfar is a businessman of Agar-based perfumes and once a business as well as family friend of Ajmal family is now having close relation with Congress leader Mr. Rockybul Hussain.

On last 10th of April, just one day before of the second phase polling of Assam Assembly Election, Mr Anfar had alleged before media in Delhi that Maulana Badruddin Ajmal was having secret understanding with BJP, Ajmal took money from BJP and if BJP comes into power Ajmal would be held responsible.

Maulana Ajmal, on the other hand, have been making statements that if BJP comes into power, Congress party would be responsible as because AIUDF tried its best to form an alliance with Cong but Cong leadership did not come forward.

Defamation suit is being faught by known civil lawyer, Sr Advocate Mr Dilip Mazumdar and Advocate Mr A S Tapader.

Earlier, Maulana Ajmal had filed an another defamation suit if Rs. 150 crore against Assam Pradesh Congress President Mr Anjan Dutta for making the same alegation is being heard by the court.
