Reportedly my jailed father Hon’ble MP Baramulla Er Rashid escaped fatal assault inside Tihar Jail. The news has shaken me to the core. My father, an elected MP, has narrowly escaped a murderous attack inside jail.
I fear what this will do to my family. My mother and grandparents are already fragile in health. If they hear the full truth, I do not know how they will bear it.
My father is not only a political leader. He is our support, our guide, and the heart of our home. To see him treated like this, far from us, left at the mercy of hostile forces, is unbearable. No prisoner deserves to be exposed to such danger. The authorities are responsible for his safety. The country and the world must not look away.
I appeal for immediate protection for my father and all Kashmiri detainees. Their lives must not be left to chance. Their dignity must not be stripped away inside prison walls.
