A plantation drive was carried out by Kangra Central Cooperative Bank in collaboration with the Forest Department and GSSS Kashmir, Barsar Range, under the **"Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam"** campaign. The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation and inspire collective action towards a greener and more sustainable future.

Field visit carried out in Badehar Panchayat, Aghar Range, with Hon'ble MLA Bhoranj, Shri Suresh Kumar, accompanied by the DCF and ACF Hamirpur, to inspect the area and discuss the potential for ecotourism development.

HP State Mega Mock Exercise 2026

Under the 10th Himachal Pradesh State-wide Mega Mock Exercise 2026, Hamirpur Forest Division conducted forest fire mock exercises at Hamirpur, Sujanpur and Nadaun on 15 June 2026. The exercise demonstrated inter-departmental coordination and forest fire suppression techniques such as fire line creation and bush beating. The Deputy Commissioner, Hamirpur, along with the Assistant Conservator of Forests, Hamirpur, monitored the exercise from the DC Office control room. The exercise aimed to strengthen preparedness and improve response to forest fire incidents.

Forest staff actively participated alongside local communities, students, and stakeholders, spreading the message of environmental conservation and sustainable living.

🌿 World Environment Day 2026 was celebrated by Hamirpur Forest Division at Hiranagar with the members of Shubh Prabhat Health Club in the presence of CF Sir, DCF Sir, ACF Sir, and forest staff. The occasion featured a plantation drive followed by group discussion, reaffirming the collective commitment towards environmental conservation and a greener future.

The celebrations were further strengthened by a cleanliness drive led by ACF Sir in Bhijhari Range, where local residents and forest staff joined hands to promote a cleaner and healthier environment.

🔥 जंगल की आग केवल पेड़ों को नहीं जलाती, यह हमारी आने वाली पीढ़ियों का भविष्य भी राख कर देती है।

यह आग अधिकांश मामलों में मानवीय लापरवाही या जानबूझकर लगाई गई आग का परिणाम होती है। दुर्गम पहाड़ी क्षेत्र, तेज़ हवाएँ और सूखी वनस्पति के बीच वन विभाग के कर्मचारी एवं वन मित्र दिन-रात अपनी जान जोखिम में डालकर आग बुझाने में जुटे हैं। लेकिन स्थानीय लोगों की भागीदारी के बिना इस लड़ाई को जीतना बेहद कठिन है।

🙏 आप सभी से विनम्र अनुरोध है:
• जंगल में आग न लगाएँ और न ही किसी को ऐसा करने दें।
• यदि कोई आग लगाता हुआ दिखाई दे, तो तुरंत इसकी सूचना वन विभाग को दें।
• आग की शुरुआती अवस्था में सुरक्षित तरीके से उसे बुझाने का प्रयास करें।
• वन विभाग, वन मित्रों और प्रकृति संरक्षण के इस अभियान में सहयोग करें।

एक छोटी सी सावधानी हजारों पेड़ों, वन्यजीवों और जल स्रोतों को बचा सकती है।
प्रकृति हमारी है — इसकी रक्षा भी हमारी जिम्मेदारी है। 🌿
