We thank delegates, faculty advisors, executive board members, IP members and parents for making the DPSG-IIMUN 2017 a huge success! We are proud as the organising team to have seen our dream turn into reality. We've successfully concluded a conference keeping in mind the idea of diplomacy, debate and constructive teamwork. While you all go back to your lives, we are certain about the memories and the experience you have gained. We wish you not a 'goodbye' but an 'Au Revoir' because we hope to host you again here at Delhi Public School, Gwalior.

When large-scale loss of life or situations of ethnic cleansing are a threat, and a state cannot or will not act to avert these disasters, then members of the international community have a responsibility to protect those at risk. But is humanitarian intervention, such an extreme option, truly feasible? And this is where the debate comes in. We proudly introduce the seventh committee to be simulated in IIMUN DPS Gwalior Chapter: UNSC.

Cyber Crimes and Unethical Hacking are already a big threat to the national governments as well as intelligence agencies. It's high time we use the same science and technology to play a crucial role in International security and disarmament. We can just not ignore increasing amounts of resources which are being devoted to developing new weapon systems, which cause uncertainty and insecurity all over. Question yourself: Does working on a new nuclear explosive power or alternative bombs really mean development? To overcome such threats which have the certain potential bring this world down, we must make the right use of new ideas to prevent such chaos. We proudly introduce the sixth committee of IIMUN DPS Gwalior Chapter: DISEC debating the Role of Science and Technology in International Security and Disarmament.

Feminism is not making women powerful, they already are. It's about world perceiving men and women equally. Which means violence against them is as incongruous as the sins themselves. Here's to women, our fifth committee: CSW (Commission on the Status of Women) addressing the problem of violence against women and girls.

Think about the world 10 years from now. Despite having a graduate degree and a remarkable educational background, the youth is jobless. Instead of going to offices for work every morning, they spend their time looking for job vacancies in the newspaper. Reason: the world doesn't have any more jobs to offer! Their degrees just lost it's value. Would anyone want to live in a world that can't give jobs to even competent people? Would anyone want to live in a world that can't provide its people with something that they're eligible for? Bearing in mind the concern for the future, we feel proud to introduce the fourth committee: ILO which will be the addressing the problem of youth unemployment in the world today.

Everything comes at a cost, even development. But now we have a way out; The SDGs are the 17 sustainable development goals which have proven their importance as drivers of public policy in addressing critical issues such as rural sanitation and child mortality. We live in a world with scarce natural resources and widespread exploitation. The private sector continues to be one of the major exploiters of these resources, and contrarily the private sector itself has the responsibility to bring it back on track. Keeping in mind the future we live for, UNDP will be the third committee to be simulated at the IIMUN DPS Gwalior Chapter discussing the role of private sector in promoting SDGs.
