​The Inspector of Drugs, Goalpara, inspected Padupara Bazar today. Two pharmacy premises sealed during the recent intensive inspection drive were de-sealed, and illegal/unauthorized medicines were seized from both locations for non-compliance with Section 18(c).

🚨 Joint Inspection Drive Against Spurious Drugs 🚨

A joint inspection drive was successfully conducted by the Inspector of Drugs, Karbi Anglong, along with police personnel at Bokajan, Karbi Anglong, to curb the spread of spurious and counterfeit drugs.

During the drive, a total of 10 suspected drug samples were collected from various wholesale premises and sent for official testing to ensure public safety and quality standards.

🚨 Major Crackdown on Unlicensed Drug Premises in Koriyoni, Biswanath! 🚨

Following vital inputs and complaints from the local public, the Inspector of Drugs, Biswanath, conducted a thorough inspection targeting illegal pharmaceutical operations in the Koriyoni region.

During the drive, drugs were seized from two separate premises operating without valid licences—a direct violation of Section 18(c) of the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940. All seized items have been officially produced before the Hon'ble Court of the Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM).

We extend our deep gratitude to the alert citizens whose timely information helped us take action to protect public health and safety.

**📢 Public Notice | Mandatory Migration to ONDLS Portal**

The Food Safety & Drugs Control Administration, Assam, hereby informs all existing licensees, prospective applicants, drug manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and retail chemists that all Drug Manufacturing and Drug Sale Licensing Services will be migrated from the EODB Portal to the Online National Drug Licensing System (ONDLS) with effect from **15 August 2026**.

✅ All fresh licence applications, retention requests, amendments, endorsements, and related services shall be processed through the ONDLS Portal.

⚠️ The existing EODB Portal will stop accepting fresh applications and licence retention requests after **14 August 2026**.
