🚀 National Science Centre, Guwahati - a unit of National Council of Science Museums-NCSM under Ministry of Culture, Government of India celebrated on 11th May 2026 with a series of educational and scientific programmes for students, teachers, and visitors. 🇮🇳🔬

The event commemorated the historic Pokhran-II nuclear tests of 1998 and highlighted India’s remarkable achievements in science and indigenous technological advancement. Reflecting the vision of a , the celebration focused on responsible innovation, ethical AI, digital public infrastructure, and inclusive technological growth.

The day-long programme featured painting & poster competitions, essay writing competitions, popular science lectures, open house quiz sessions, and prize distribution ceremonies.

A special lecture and discussion session on “Beyond Artemis II: India’s Cosmic Rise” was delivered by eminent experts including Dr. Kumud Ch. Bhattacharyya, Former Director of North Eastern Space Application Centre (ISRO), Shillong, and Dr. Vikramjit Kakati, Professor at Assam Don Bosco University and Mission Director of the student satellite project “LACHIT”.

The event inspired young minds towards science, innovation, and research while spreading awareness about the role of technology in nation-building and sustainable development. 🌍✨
