It is my pleasure to share information about my new book - Smart Governance Writings: Responding RTI Applications & Preparing Action Taken Reports: Using Artificial Intelligence - A Guide for Government Executives
Every officer or official comes with different perspectives, working styles, and ways of handling office matters. Yet, there is a common thread – the responsibility to provide accurate, timely, and legally sound communication in a manner that builds citizen confidence. With the advent of the RTI Act, 2005, the accountability of government functionaries has increased manifold. Similarly, with growing citizen grievances handled through ATRs, CM Window, social media grievance trackers, and court/audit directions, there is a pressing need for officials to strengthen their skills in governance writing.
This book has emerged as the need of the hour, because drafting RTI replies and ATRs is not just a routine task but a crucial part of maintaining credibility, compliance, and transparency in governance. Today, technology and AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Grammarly, and Google Docs Assist have opened new possibilities for enhancing the quality of official communication. However, the responsibility still lies with the officers to ensure legal validity and correctness. This book attempts to balance these two aspects—modern tools and traditional accountability.
