Under the Ayushman Bharat (Health & Wellness) Program of the Govt. of India, Lal PathLabs Foundation, in collaboration with implementation partner DigiSwasthya Foundation , is working towards strengthening primary healthcare delivery in Lucknow.

As part of this initiative, the School Ambassador Program is one of the key focus areas, under which students visited the Ayushman Arogya Mandir to gain insights into essential healthcare services, preventive healthcare practices, and community wellness initiatives. The interactive exposure visit included an orientation on Health & Wellness Centre services, basic health screening activities such as height and weight assessment, infrastructure familiarisation, and awareness sessions conducted by the Community Health Officer (CHO).

The initiative aims to nurture children as health ambassadors who can spread awareness within their families and communities, while encouraging health-seeking behaviour and preventive healthcare practices.

Together, building informed communities and strengthening grassroots healthcare systems for a healthier tomorrow.

A glimpse into the impact journey of Lal PathLabs Foundation!

As the CSR arm of Dr Lal PathLabs and its group companies, the Lal PathLabs Foundation is committed to building a healthier nation by improving access to quality and preventive healthcare for underserved communities. So far, 9.20 Millions+ beneficiaries have been impacted across 42+ locations in 19 States and 2 UTs in India.

The Foundation focuses on two thematic areas: Vocational Training in Healthcare and Public Health.

Through its flagship vocational training program, rural youth are empowered with certified phlebotomist skills, enabling sustainable livelihoods while addressing the shortage of trained healthcare professionals in the country.

Public health initiatives include health education, preventive healthcare awareness, nutrition support for TB patients, adolescent health, renal care, and strengthening access to essential healthcare services at the community level.

Building careers. Strengthening healthcare.

LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomist Training Program is a flagship initiative of the Lal PathLabs Foundation, now operating across 21 training centers in 10 States and 2 UTs.

The program empowers rural youth with vocational skills, helping them become trained phlebotomists and bringing essential diagnostic services closer to underserved communities in rural and semi-urban areas. It addresses two key challenges - shortage of skilled healthcare professionals in tier 2 & 3 regions and limited job opportunities for local youth.

Since its inception, the program has trained and certified 13,000+ candidates, with over 10,700+ placed successfully; achieving an 82%+ placement rate, including 60% women.

The program focused on a holistic training approach, combining technical training with soft skills, communication, financial literacy, gender sensitization, and entrepreneurship development.

Mr. Ved Goel (Group CFO & CEO – International Business, Dr Lal PathLabs) visited our CSR project, one of the 20 centres of our flagship initiative, LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomist Training Program at Dehradun.

During his visit, he reviewed the centre’s infrastructure, classrooms, and practical labs, and interacted closely with students and alumni, gaining insights into the on-ground impact of the program.

Addressing the students during the Reward & Recognition and Convocation Ceremony for the FY 2025-26 batch, Mr. Ved Goel shared valuable insights from his professional journey, emphasizing that success is built through discipline, consistency, and small, meaningful steps. He also highlighted the critical role of the healthcare sector in nation-building and the inspiring journey of Dr Lal PathLabs, motivating students to pursue their careers with confidence and purpose.

The event celebrated the achievements of the FY 2025-26 batch, where students received training certificates and job offer letters in reputed local laboratories. Top performers were honoured with the Dr. Lal Excellence Award, along with the special Dr. Lal Samatva Award recognizing persons with disabilities. Alumni success stories further added to the spirit of inspiration.

Under the Government of India’s Ni-kshay Mitra Program, Lal PathLabs Foundation, in collaboration with implementation partner Society For Participatory Integrated Development-SPID, is providing nutritional support to 2,000 TB patients in Nuh District, Haryana, to improve treatment outcomes.

Marking World Tuberculosis Day on 24th March 2026, the Foundation reinforced the critical role of nutrition in recovery and treatment adherence by distributing essential nutritional kits in the presence of government health officials, including Dr. Vishal Singla (Dy. Chief Medical Officer), Dr. Rajvinder Singh Malik (District TB Officer), Mr. Sakir (DPPM) alongside more than 150 villagers and other stakeholders. The event also highlighted the availability of free diagnostics and treatment under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, while promoting early screening, prevention, and community participation to eliminate TB.

Adding to this momentum, our Phlebotomist Trainees from the LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine led awareness campaigns across 20 centres (10 States & 2 UTs) through street plays and roadshows, spreading crucial information on TB symptoms, prevention, and timely treatment; collectively advancing the vision of a TB-free India.

Another milestone in the journey of driving impact through skill development.

Lal PathLabs Foundation’s flagship initiative, the LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomist Training Program, has been recognised as Runner-Up in the Skill Development category at the 8th ICC Social Impact Awards 2026, organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce.

Earlier in FY 2025-26, the program was also recognised with three CSR awards under the ‘Best Skill Development Project of the Year’ category.

These recognitions reflect a consistent effort to build a skilled healthcare workforce, support livelihoods, and improve access to diagnostic services at the grassroots level.

Lal PathLabs Foundation, in collaboration with DigiSwasthya Foundation, is supporting to Strengthen Primary Healthcare Delivery Services in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

In FY 2025-26, so far 45 NCD camps have been conducted with the support of govt. health officials including CHOs, ASHA workers, and ANMs to promote early detection and management of non-communicable diseases. Through these camps, 4,200+ individuals received direct OPD services, including screenings and medical consultations for oral and breast cancer, blood pressure, diabetes, blood tests, and general medicine.

Beyond clinical care, preventive health awareness initiatives reached 24,000+ people (8,000+ men and 16,000+ women), encouraging regular screening and healthier lifestyle choices. Additionally, 47,000+ people were indirectly reached through community outreach and awareness sessions on prevention and early diagnosis of NCDs.

Together, we continue to advance preventive healthcare and healthier communities.
