Through our flagship LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomist Training Program, Lal PathLabs Foundation is empowering unemployed rural youth and building a skilled pool of trained healthcare professionals to bridge the gap in healthcare delivery in rural and remote regions.

Since its inception in FY 2018, the program has:
✨ Trained & Certified 13,000+ unemployed youth as phlebotomists
✨ 82% placement rate, 10,700+ candidates secured employment in healthcare industry
✨ 57% female candidates
✨ Expanded the presence to 25 centres across 12 States and 2 UTs in India

By equipping rural and underserved youth with industry-relevant skills, we are not only creating sustainable livelihood opportunities but also building a skilled healthcare workforce to strengthen access to diagnostic services at the grassroots.

At Lal PathLabs Foundation, we believe that building skilled healthcare professionals goes beyond technical training. Through our flagship 'LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine - Phlebotomist Training Program', operating across 21 training centres in 10 States and 2 UTs in India, we are empowering unemployed youth from rural and remote regions with the skills, confidence, and practical exposure needed to build successful careers in healthcare.

Our holistic training approach integrates technical learning with soft skills, communication, financial literacy, gender sensitization, and entrepreneurship development, preparing trainees for long-term professional growth.

A key highlight of the program is our Exposure Visits to diagnostic laboratories, where trainees gain first-hand experience of real-world healthcare environments, understand laboratory operations and industry best practices, and bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application.

By combining classroom learning with industry exposure, we are nurturing confident healthcare professionals and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities while strengthening access to quality healthcare services.

The 'Health Education in School' project, supported by Lal PathLabs Foundation and implemented by CHILD EYE, is empowering over 5,500+ students from Classes VI, VII, and VIII across 13 schools in Delhi NCR and the Chandigarh Tri-city with essential health education focused on the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

Through interactive and experiential learning, students are encouraged to adopt healthy eating habits, make informed lifestyle choices, and become ambassadors of good health within their families and communities.

By integrating health education into everyday school life, we are nurturing healthier generations and building a stronger foundation for the future.

Hon'ble Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Ms. Ritu Khanduri Ji, graced the Reward & Recognition and Convocation Ceremony of the LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomist Training Program held at Kotdwar on 19th June 2026 as the Chief Guest along with dignitaries including Mr. Rajesh Singh (Head – CSR, Dr Lal PathLabs), Mr. Vedprakash Sharma (CEO, B ABLE Foundation), and entire team, local community & media.

The event celebrated the achievements of the FY 2025-26 batch, recognizing the hard work and dedication of our aspiring healthcare professionals. Students were awarded training certificates and received job offer letters from reputed local diagnostic laboratories, marking the beginning of their professional journey.

The ceremony also honoured top performers with the Dr. Lal Excellence Award, while the Dr. Lal Samatva Award was presented to recognize the outstanding achievements of persons with disabilities, reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and equal opportunity.

Lal PathLabs Foundation marked World Environment Day 2026 with enthusiastic participation from all CSR project implementation teams and beneficiaries across 42+ locations in India.

Together, we took meaningful steps towards environmental conservation by planting 1,000+ trees, including medicinal plants, organizing awareness rallies, engaging with 4,500+ community members, and spreading important messages on environmental protection and sustainability.

At Lal PathLabs Foundation, we recognize the vital role a healthy environment plays in sustaining life on Earth.

Under the Ayushman Bharat (Health & Wellness) Program of the Govt. of India, Lal PathLabs Foundation, in collaboration with implementation partner DigiSwasthya Foundation , is working towards strengthening primary healthcare delivery in Lucknow.

As part of this initiative, the School Ambassador Program is one of the key focus areas, under which students visited the Ayushman Arogya Mandir to gain insights into essential healthcare services, preventive healthcare practices, and community wellness initiatives. The interactive exposure visit included an orientation on Health & Wellness Centre services, basic health screening activities such as height and weight assessment, infrastructure familiarisation, and awareness sessions conducted by the Community Health Officer (CHO).

The initiative aims to nurture children as health ambassadors who can spread awareness within their families and communities, while encouraging health-seeking behaviour and preventive healthcare practices.

Together, building informed communities and strengthening grassroots healthcare systems for a healthier tomorrow.

As the CSR arm of Dr Lal PathLabs and its group companies, the Lal PathLabs Foundation is committed to building a healthier nation by improving access to quality and preventive healthcare for underserved communities. So far, 9.20 Millions+ beneficiaries have been impacted across 42+ locations in 19 States and 2 UTs in India.

The Foundation focuses on two thematic areas: Vocational Training in Healthcare and Public Health.

Through its flagship vocational training program, rural youth are empowered with certified phlebotomist skills, enabling sustainable livelihoods while addressing the shortage of trained healthcare professionals in the country.

Public health initiatives include health education, preventive healthcare awareness, nutrition support for TB patients, adolescent health, renal care, and strengthening access to essential healthcare services at the community level.

LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomist Training Program is a flagship initiative of the Lal PathLabs Foundation, now operating across 21 training centers in 10 States and 2 UTs.

The program empowers rural youth with vocational skills, helping them become trained phlebotomists and bringing essential diagnostic services closer to underserved communities in rural and semi-urban areas. It addresses two key challenges - shortage of skilled healthcare professionals in tier 2 & 3 regions and limited job opportunities for local youth.

Since its inception, the program has trained and certified 13,000+ candidates, with over 10,700+ placed successfully; achieving an 82%+ placement rate, including 60% women.

The program focused on a holistic training approach, combining technical training with soft skills, communication, financial literacy, gender sensitization, and entrepreneurship development.
