Greater Noida Kalibari, managed by the Greater Noida Sharadia Sanskritik Samiti, is the cultural and spiritual centre for Bengalis and enthusiasts of Bengali culture, serving the local community through various initiatives. Greater Noida has prospered since the year 2001 as some Twenty Eight Bengali Families started performing Durga Puja in Greater Noida and in the m/o August’2003 the first Regist
ered Society of Greater Noida came into existence “Greater Noida Sharadia Sanskritik Samiti “ with the following objectives :
- To increase social and cultural interaction among the residents of Greater Noida and promote social and communal harmony by organizing different cultural and social functions.
- To study, cultivate and propagate the Bengali language,literature and Fine Arts
- To maintain and develop an interest in the art and culture of Bengal
-To study,cultivate and propagate other Indian languages literature, Fine arts and culture of other regions
- To organize flood relief,fire relief etc. measures for the people affected by these calamities in India
- To celebrate main Religious and National festivals
- To organize Blood Donation camps
- To establish, build, run and maintain community hall for public & Religious Functions such as different Religious & national festivals
- To found and maintain Library and Reading rooms
- To facilitate the service of Homeopathic/Allopathic Doctors for general public free of charge
- To run charitable Dispensary and free Ambulance service
- To build ,run and maintain Dharamshala and night shelter for poor and downtrodden.
- To award prizes/felicitate to meritorious students excelling in sports and academic careers
- To foster spirit of social and national service
In this few years Greater Noida Sharadia Sanskritik Samiti has improved in leaps and bounds. From performing Durga Puja,Lakshmi Puja and Kali Puja from the year 2001 till date, samiti have also engaged in participating in Blood donation camps, Health Mela Donating for the Flood victims and many more activities.
