BVDC Holds Felicitation Programme for Meritorious Students

Today, in a colourful programme, 24 meritorious students were felicitated by the Bajugaon Village Development Committee (BVDC). The event, which also included a career counselling session, was held at the Bajugaon LP School field under the Gossaigaon sub-division.

The 24 meritorious students from various schools were honoured with the traditional Bodo Aronai and a beautiful memento. Research scholar Nirantar Borgoyary from Gauhati University was the guest speaker, delivering a talk on career counselling.

Other notable participants included Assistant Professor Ringki Basumatary, Assistant Teacher Saranjit Basumatary, Rupjyoti Hazarika (In-charge of Sapkata Outpost), along with local residents and intellectuals from Bajugaon village.

Fungka Borgoyary, Adviser of the BVDC, stated that the aim of the committee is to focus on education and empower students through counselling and career guidance. BVDC is actively working in the fields of education, anti-drug activities, cleanliness drives, and various other initiatives to transform the village into a model of progress.

Today, we, the BVDC, organized the International Women's Day celebration in collaboration with JJM and ASRLM at Bajugaon No. 1 village. Ms. Mousumi Nath, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Mr. Rupeswar Brahma, Executive Engineer, PHE Gossaigaon, and Mr. Japhung Narzary, BRP, Kachugaon Education Block, were invited as the guests of honour.

We held a peace rally to mark International Women's Day and felicitated the women who have made significant contributions to the villages and the welfare of women in recent times. Many women from various villages attended the occasion.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, collaborators, and participants who made this program a success.
