In light of the reports of the simmering tension in certain areas in Gossaigaon ,a meeting was convened at the office of the SDO( C) Gossaigaon for maintenance of peace and law & order by keeping strict vigilance and ensuring that the people are mobilised against the spread and circulation of any false news on any platform without proper verification.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Mridul Shivhare IAS, and was attended by Shri William Narzary , MCLA, Jamduar BTCC and Shri Antaj Ali, MCLA, Guma BTCC along with Shri Mantu Ram Borah , APS, SDPO,Gossaigaon and the O/C , I/Cs under Gossaigaon sub Division.
Also , the representatives of UPPL, BPF and various other organisations viz. AKRSU, AASAA, ABSU, ASSU, Gorkha student union , AABYSF , ARSU etc were also present in the meeting. DC Kokrajhar
