Goreswar Municipal Board Initially Goreswar Town Committee was constituted in 26/06/2014 with 8 Nos. of wards and it was converted to Municipal Board in 11/10/2018.

The present Goreswar Municipal Board spread over an area of 7.065 sq. km, is divided into 8 wards.

As part of the 76th Republic Day Celebrations and as per instructions from the Commissioner, a cleanliness drive was organized in the Goreswar Municipal Area on 19.01.2025. The initiative was led from the front by the District Commissioner of Tamulpur, alongside the Superintendent of Police, Tamulpur, Executive Officer, Chairperson and other office staff of Goreswar Municipal Board.
