1. Introduction
Naba Uddiptya Youth Club, Phulonibari, organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme to create awareness among the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free society. The programme was conducted as part of the broader Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
2. Major Activities
The following activities were undertaken during the campaign:
Street Play at Numaligarh: A street play was performed to highlight the social, physical and economic consequences of drug addiction.
Public Awareness: The performers interacted with the public and conveyed messages on prevention of drug abuse and the importance of seeking timely support.
Village-wise Awareness at No. 3 Doigrung: Awareness activities were extended to the village level to reach families, youth and community members directly.
Youth Participation: 13 volunteers/participants actively participated in the awareness activities.
Community Mobilization: Local residents were encouraged to support collective efforts towards building a drug-free community.

5. Outcome
The programme received encouraging participation from the local community. Through the street play and village-level awareness activities, approximately 1,000 members of the public were reached. The initiative helped generate discussion and awareness regarding the dangers of drug abuse, particularly among young people.
6. Conclusion
The Anti-Drug Awareness Programme conducted by Naba Uddiptya Youth Club, Phulonibari was a meaningful community-based initiative. The combination of street theatre and village-wise awareness helped communicate the message in a simple and effective manner. The Club intends to continue such awareness activities in different villages to strengthen community participation in the fight against drug abuse and contribute towards building a Nasha Mukt and healthy society.
