DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, CCL GIRIDIH CREATES HISTORY IN CBSE CLASS XII RESULTS 2026

A proud and historic moment for DAV Public School, CCL Giridih as Avi Goyal emerged as the Commerce State Topper with a phenomenal 99.4% in the CBSE Class XII Board Examination 2026.

Scoring a perfect 100 in three subjects, along with outstanding marks of 99 and 98, Abhi has brought immense glory to the school and created a record that will be remembered for years to come.

Adding to the pride of the institution, Avi Goyal is the son of the respected Principal, Mr. Om Prakash Goyal, under whose visionary leadership the school continues to scale new heights of excellence.

💧 Jal Pakwada 2026: Nurturing Young Minds for a Water-Wise Tomorrow

On the meaningful occasion of Jal Pakwada 2026, a vibrant and knowledge-enriching Quiz Competition on Water Conservation and Awareness was organized for the enthusiastic students of Classes III and V.
The quiz was skillfully conducted by Mrs. Shaswati Mukherjee and Mr. Vijay Kumar Pathak, with seamless technical support from Mr. Deepanshu Kumar, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all participants.
The young learners participated with great zeal and wholehearted enthusiasm. Their eagerness to respond, presence of mind, and awareness of the current water crisis reflected not only their preparation but also their sensitivity towards one of the most pressing global concerns—water conservation. The questions were thoughtfully curated, aligning closely with real-life challenges and the urgent need to preserve this precious resource.
The competition witnessed a healthy and spirited contest among the houses:

Hansraj House and Tagore House jointly secured the First Position, showcasing remarkable brilliance.

Dayanand House claimed the Second Position with commendable performance.

Vivekananda House earned the Third Position, displaying notable effort and awareness.

Principal Mr. O.P. Goyal lauded the students for their awareness, confidence, and quick thinking. He expressed immense satisfaction, observing that the students of the school, both from the junior and senior wings, are progressing exceptionally well in co-curricular domains alongside academics.

Report on Painting Competition – Jal Pakhwada 2026
As part of the Jal Pakhwada celebration observed from 16th April to 30th April 2026, a vibrant and thought-provoking Painting Competition was organized in the school today to spread awareness about the importance of water conservation.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who expressed their ideas with great creativity and imagination. Through their colorful and meaningful artworks, the children beautifully depicted that “Water is Life”, highlighting themes such as saving water, rainwater harvesting, and the need to protect this precious natural resource for future generations. Their paintings reflected not only artistic excellence but also a deep sense of responsibility towards the environment.
The entire programme was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Bablu Kumar, the Art Teacher, whose guidance inspired students to bring out their best. The event was further graced by the presence of the Principal, Mr. O.P. Gyall, who appreciated the students for their innovative thinking and applauded their efforts in conveying such a significant message through art. He also encouraged everyone to adopt water-saving practices in their daily lives.

Today, DAV Public School, CCL Giridih marked the beginning of Jal Pakwada 2026 (April 16th to April 30th) with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility towards nature. The event commenced with a meaningful Jal Shapat (Water Pledge) on water conservation, setting the tone for the days ahead.
The Jal Shapat, administered by Mr. V. K. Pathak (S.Sc Teacher), inspired students to recognize the value of every drop of water and to adopt mindful practices in their daily lives. With sincerity and determination, students took the Jal Shapat, promising to conserve water, prevent its wastage, and spread awareness about its importance within their families and communities.
The school echoed with a unified commitment as students resolved to take small yet impactful steps—like turning off taps properly, minimizing unnecessary usage, avoiding water wastage, and promoting rainwater harvesting—to contribute towards a sustainable future.
Adding further inspiration to the occasion, the Principal, Mr. O. P. Goyall, addressed the assembly and motivated the students with his enlightening words. He emphasized that water is not just a resource but the very essence of life, and conserving it is our collective duty. DAV Public School organized a special Hawan Ceremony to honor and bless the toppers of Class X for their remarkable academic achievements. The toppers, along with their proud parents, were cordially invited to be a part of this auspicious occasion.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Principal, Mr. O. P. Goyal, whose presence added dignity to the event. The sacred hawan was performed collectively by the Principal, the toppers, their parents, teachers, and students, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere filled with positivity and gratitude.
Prayers were offered seeking blessings for the bright and successful future of the students. The event reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also strong moral and cultural values.
What made the occasion even more special was the wholehearted involvement of the entire school. All the students warmly supported the idea of celebrating the achievements of their peers, reflecting a beautiful spirit of unity, appreciation, and encouragement.

Health is Wealth – A Step Towards a Healthier Tomorrow

A comprehensive Medical Check-up Camp, Health Awareness Camp, and Blood Group Testing Camp was successfully organized by CCL Hospital, Beniadih in the premises of DAV Public School, CCL Beniadih.
The camp was graciously led by Dr. Parimal Sinha (Medical Officer) and Dr. Anurag Singh (Physician), along with their dedicated team, including Pratima Sister and other esteemed medical staff of CCL Hospital. Their presence and commitment ensured a smooth and impactful health initiative for our students and staff.
Around 100 students actively participated in the camp and underwent blood group testing. The initiative aimed at promoting preventive healthcare among children, where essential medicines like iron tonics, calcium supplements, multivitamins, eye drops, and ORS were thoughtfully distributed to address common nutritional deficiencies among young learners.
Students from all classes enthusiastically took part in the camp, while those with specific health concerns received special attention and guidance. Our teachers also availed the opportunity, making it a truly inclusive and beneficial programme for the entire school community.
Our respected Principal, Mr. O. P. Goyal, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the CCL authorities for their commendable effort in organizing such a meaningful camp. He encouraged students to make the most of such initiatives and appreciated the endeavor as a significant step towards nurturing a healthy and aware generation.

Proud Moment for DAV Public School, CCL, Giridih!
We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievement of our proud alumnus Mr. Roushan Raj, who led his team from BIT Sindri, Dhanbad to win Second Prize in the prestigious Dare to Dream Innovation Contest 5.0 organized by Defence Research and Development Organisation.

Adding to this proud moment, he was felicitated today at DAV Public School, CCL, Giridih by our respected Principal Om Prakash Goyal Sir.
He was present today along with his father, making it a proud and emotional moment for him as well, and he beautifully shared his inspiring journey with the students of the school.

An inspiring interactive session was also held where students got the opportunity to learn from his journey.
Notably, during his school days at DAV, Roushan Raj was twice awarded at the national level for his innovations at competitions held at Indian School of Mines.
