Another Milestone for the Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP)!

Strengthening international collaboration in medicine quality standards, the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Food and Drug Department and the Ministry of Health, Lao PDR, for the recognition of the Indian Pharmacopoeia.

The agreement was formally exchanged during the 10th India–Lao PDR Joint Commission Meeting, co-chaired by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations to align medicinal standards and enhance healthcare collaboration.

With this development, the Indian Pharmacopoeia is now recognized by 24 countries, marking another milestone in India's journey towards global leadership in medicine quality standards.

The growing international acceptance of IP highlights the trust placed in India's scientific, regulatory, and quality assurance frameworks and reinforces its role in promoting safe, effective, and quality-assured medicines worldwide.
